I must stop feeling so old and get along to these things...trouble is, being in Devon and without transport you are somewhat cut off from the "real" world.
She has a truly wonderful voice. When I bought the "Touch me with Your Love" cd and listened for the first time, I just couldn't believe the version of "Galaxy of Emptiness" was recorded live (until the crownd cheer at the end, obviously).

I got my copy of "I need two heads" in a crap junk shop stall in Peckham
covered market about five years ago. Cost: nicht because my mum was buying some
shelves or something and the owner clearly didn't know his Postcard from his
Telstar. So I was *very* *very* lucky. It doesn't often happen. "I need two
heads" worries me a little because I can't deny that it sounds remarkably like
early Cure. And anyway, why does Robert Forster need two heads - the one he's
got is really very good in itself. What a greedy man. I'm glad to hear that
Tag is striving for the RF look. I am half-trying myself. The hair's getting
there (or is it just turning into a mullet - gulp?! Thought: was this the
inspiration for Billy the Fish?) but the jawline's got a long way to go.
Which brings me nicely (bald lies are the best) onto my B&S content. It's come
to my attention that certain wonderful tracks like "The Boy Done Wrong Again"
and "Belle And Sebastian" are hovering criminally near to the lowest depths of
the voing chart. Also, cute as it is, "She's Losing It" should not be beating
"The State I Am In" in the top slot. And I feel sorry for "Electronic
Renaissance". If you share my sense of injustice, tactical vote vote vote your
way to http://www.totalweb.co.uk/bluesoda/cgi-bin/vote.cgi and make
recompense. The link from the top page didn't seem to work last time I tried
it.

Hello,
So have we established that we all like Air now. I suppose I started

recently, but now I'm back, walking amongst you and I ain't gonna be
lonesome no more.

When did this get written? Who wrote it? I mean it's true, but ...
it was Andreas wasn't it? And it was my secret, I was going to waltz
in here, with Robert Forster hair and you'd all be dazzled and would
ravish me til dawn.

But not as weird as Honey who wrote:

I've got a picture of me naked aged 2, on holiday in the Hebrides.

Does that mean you can't remember jumping naked on stage and shouting

photos. Well, she can make them with her magic photokit thing. And
then you'll be sorry for dissing the Pastels. Ha!

Oh yes oh yes oh yes...Simon I think you'll find at least two more of us here.
Beth is indeed a joy to behold, and I have not bought anything yet with which I have been disappointed. However, it has to be said that Terry Callier makes that Best Bit EP with the extra tracks. I had never heard of him before, and as yet have not ventured out to purchase any of his stuff (? I hate that word).
But I imagine if you went to see him live, you'd have to get totally reefed up first.
Unfortunately few legends ever venture down to sunny Devon so I fear I'll never blessed with the opportunity.

I've just been looking for Air's PREMIERS SYMPTOMES in town
but can't find anything but Moon Safari. Does anyone
know if this previous album is released in this country, or will be,
or would I have to order it??
Thanks!

Well, basically, just a thought that cropped up in my head. I thought
I'd write it down and see if its a pile of pants.
Basically, there is no way anyone can get there hands on Tigermilk,
and some lovely people have been taping Tigermilk to help spread the
word, and I'm sure that most of the adorable people who have received
these tapes will buy Tigermilk when it is eventually re-released by
popular demand.
But in the meantime, how do we thank B&S, for Tigermilk, as we can't
through the revenue which they are not getting. Now one way would be
to send them some cash, but that's a terrible idea. Another might be
to send them a tape with some of your favourite tunes. Sort of
like you might give the tape-ee a tape. Another might be to send them
lots of chocolate and some cream in a can which you can squirt over
things.
D'you think this would just alert them even more to the illigal
activity or d'you reckon they might appreciate such gestives in
the spirit in which they are meant?
Hell, perhaps I'll just get out my crayons and send them a pretty
picture.
lots of love
chris

If we send you a SAE do we get the photo's back ?
I foresee a situation where hundres of mothers are broken-hearted because their treasured memories of their ugly lardy great shit-bags have been lost in the great sinister-void.
Oh the prospect of fatherhood....bollocks to that !

Paul,
What is the age limit of these baby pics ?
Two reasons :
1. Camera's hadn't been introduced to Devon by 1971.
and
2. Up until the age of about two, I was far too f***ing fat two fit on one page of a website.
If I can send one of me at about the age of three, then we're talking 1974/5 and some serious Stone Roses / Monkeys haircuts.
Love and Lard.
Adrian.
