asking for information on lyrics, old threads on the list and other
stuff that is well represented on the web.
i know this is really Paul's job, but could i urge you all to check the

easily there.

Hello!
I juste come back from a little Christmas concert,and I'm a little
scared, these 5 girls did backstreet boys video (quebec goes mad for them)
and I was laughing a little,becuase i thought it was a joke,but it was
serious, got soem evil glare from the werewolf woman....
Alright..this was weird,I actually some soem clear, visible pictures of the
other members (instead of just Stuart Murdoch) On this one homepage, there is
a picture of Stuart David playing an accordian (is that all he does?) and he
looks just like this alluring one we will call Sousa.. (goes to my school) I
mean, identical, same downward look, when Sousa plays tambourine....
is there any interesting stories or information...(I know nothing of him!)
of this little angel Stuart David?
you're taking me ov-ah....
love love,
Genevieve :0

Hi All
What's all this broccoli nonsense? When I talked to Stuart David after the
Colchester Arts Centre gig and asked him whether Elvis was a cat, because
he sounds just like mine, he said yes.
Best wishes to all those able to see the forthcoming gigs and hope they are
as brilliant as the two I've seen this year.

... still needs minor organising
but to help speed things up a bit, could everyone who can in Manchester
please look at the following places and report back with opinions
1) Night and Day cafe
2) Dome restaurant/bar
3) any decent pubs near the Town Hall
what we need to know is;
a) are they nice venues?
b) would they hold 50 people easily?
c) would you want to go there?
d) what food do they serve?
e) do they have age restrictions?
f) are they open on the Saturday AND Sunday? if not, which day?
your help is deeply appreciated, we've already got some plans, but this
will help finalise them and set them in stone (or the web site).
thanks

well, we finally got round to jdging this, actually we'd decided the
winner ages ago but hoping that the band and a few other people would
offer their opinion.
so the winner of the four posters (one for each Jeepster release to
date) and the t-shirt of choice is Jonathon Mackie, his was entrant no'
15 (in our numbered list) and will get his prize pickings as soon as he
gets in contact with us and lets us know where he wants them sent.
to all the other entrants, we really enjoyed reading them all and had
fun judging, thank you for putting the effort in. your efforts an be
viewed permanently on the fan club site under the link called fiction ,
i hope this will inspire you to write something more when the fiction
part of the site is developed to include the forthcoming book idea
(details to follow in the new year).
anyway, here's that winning entry in full...

This one's my favourite. It's from around seven years ago, when my
dad
took myself and my sister up to the dams in the country. It was
just
after my dad and mum had split up, towards the end of the summer.
The
year before, my dad had taken a nervous breakdown and had mellowed
out, learned to show his feelings a bit more. Trouble is, he showed
his
feelings to another woman as well. The dams are always one of my
favourite places. They're right on the boundary between the country
and
the city, and they're right beside the wee town I used to go to to
play
tennis with my uncle, even though I had to borrow a racquet because
I
couldn't afford my own. It wasn't really a town, more like a scheme
that
happened to be outside the city limits. My dad told me the dams
supplied water to thousands of people in the city, and they'd been
built a
hundred years ago and still remained intact. You can see me in the
background, sitting on the edge of a large pool of water. There's a
small
waterfall running into the pool. My dad and my sister are in front
of me,
staring into the camera, squinting cause of the sun. I'm wearing my
red
and white striped polo top, which I got for my 11th birthday from
my
mum. There's car in the background too, speeding past on the small
road. I started the big school that year, stopped reading Smash
Hits and
started reading Melody Maker and NME. I had my first instance of
true
love that year, but nothing happened. My dad wasn't as bald then as
he
is now. I like him more now than I did then. My mum's not in the
picture,
which is sad. It was a really nice sunny day.
again, thanks for your support and patience

The bit at the end of ' i could be dreaming' is Isobel reading from ( i
think) Rumpell Stiltskin.
And, yes Susannah, i think your 'star test' questions are very rude. A
failed pop star, by any chance?

There's a lot of things it could be right? I suppose it could be a fingre to
the lips like 'shhhh' he doesn't want to speak of what he's doing, and a hand
over the window to block people from seeing what he's doing....or it could
be a passionate moment,a hand over his mouth and a hand trying to pull down
the shades, you know clothes and leoapard print underwear flying unto
lampshade and celing fan?
Dear sinister people, hello!
Are you all doing well,I am just loving Belle and Sebastian more, and I
declared this to lovely boy at recordstore...ahhhh..he knows me! I asked
(even though I knew it is the UNOBTAINABLE item) and today, now I ordered it
weeks ago..he shyly told me he would not be able to get it for me,with the
lovely smile and oohhh! It's strange..the counter there, once they go down to
get the cd,it's like a magical place,he was down there for a while..and I
jumped when his lovely little head reappeared holding a cd...oh,this isn't
special to you guitar gods, but I can Get Me Away From here,I'm Dying on the
guitar..doesn't sound perfect,but I learn.
I'm so jealous of all you,how lucky you can all meet up..I have come to
conclusion,as soon as I graduate I'm going to England, even if I'm not allowed...
i went to a dance last night,it is crazy all the tearfull things that happen
between the couples, all the making up when the slow song comes on,now if I
was there with Spinable boy we'd be doing a funky dance to that part in
photo Jenny 'they got the drugs I could use them but I don't want any' now
my feet are a bit sore,do you know how much hip twisting you have to do
during all that puff daddy.
I have a Math exam on monday,oh dear!
now don't be stupid,cause you're all looking great..you are!;)
kisses,Genevieve

cheers and luv to all on Sinister from cold and inhospitable
Cleveland, Ohio.
i s'pose i should get this out of the way up front, since it must
drive you diehard B&S enthusiasts batty to see it again and again:
i am ISO a halfway decent tape of Tigermilk. method of compensation
(i.e. trades, etc) is way negotiable. i'd really love to hear this album
once and for all.
also: anyone know when (or if) the B&S appearance on the PBS
music program(me) Sessions at West 54th will make it to air?
apologies if this is treading over ground already covered...
perhaps i should shut up & hit the mailing list archives...
yrs humbly ---robin h.
