Wow, you lot are quiet - all busy swinging from the chandeliers in the
chatroom probably. Well the final list of people going to Manchester
is now on my WWW page, courtesy of the heroic Andrew Dean at:

I think there's more details coming about meeting up/aftershow etc. -
watch out for Tag, David and Katrina's mailings soon. If we all wear
a pair of tinsel angel wings we should be able to spot each other.
Chat details: the band are still keen and it looks like we will set a
date well into January now, but timing is still unclear - it may
possibly have to be daytime on a weekday UK time, but I suspect an
early evening would be more popular. Again keep watching the list.
Even after loads of students leaving the list for hols we're now up
to 390 people, so welcome all new people and don't worry about the
quietness of the list just now: come January you'll have too many
mails to deal with and will all shout at me. In fact I think we'll
have a competition about who can be the saddest and send a message on
Christmas day to the list. We'll be watching.
Finally I'm still under the weather and dead bizzy at work, but
everyone who's mailed asking for help with getting into the chatroom
- well it's coming so please hang on!

Oh dear there seems to be a bit of a theme developing here.
I too will be alone Xmas day. Thanks to work I will not be able to
return to dear old blighty to see family, friends & B&S play a concert
near to home for the first time. so it's HungryMan Turkey dinner for me
followed by phoning home for dear lizzies speech (bound to be a corker
this year!), then off to the cinema for the opening of 'Jackie Brown',
or maybe to Cambridge to see 'The Godfather'. ummm now i think about
this Xmas is going to be a blinder........just need to work out the chat
room business
1 - B&S bits - I played my girlfriend some B&S for the first time this
weekend 3,6,9 seconds of light. She liked it & told me how rude Judy
Blume books were. (I think i'll buy her Sinister for chrimbo - nice).
I'm going to New York on the 27th, so i figure it would be kind of nice
& perverse to visit the venues they played for the CMJ while you lot are
movin' & agroovin' in Manchester. Anyone offer any directions?. Finally
i managed my first B&S dream the other night phew! the only bits i
remember were at the end of the concert they stood & sneered at
everyones winsome behaviour! someone help........

O.K. walking through a dark alley (stupid I know, but I'm just a
girl) on the way home after spending the day wandering round bookshops
off the Charing Cross Road and having sat next to a grumpy old man on
the train back to good old Rochester, knackered because books are bloody
heavy you know (but I love them anyways) and feeling kind of numb
because that's how London leaves me (all those people with so many
places to go), I saw it up ahead in the orangey glow from a (*tasteful*
pseudo-Victorian) streetlight. Then it shook its bushy tail and trotted
off into the darkness. I went home.
