Sinister: the new EP

What's a bit of a worry is that the new EP contains 5 songs, at least not all five of them are listed. 5 separate actual songs on a single disqualifies them from the singles chart and makes it viable for the albums chart. Hopefully the chart compilers will not notice this. The other question is: do you reckon they'll go on top of the pops if it does chart? I mean, they don't even give photographs away never mind go on the telly! It would be totally brilliant since as the Duke says, they are a complete antidote to most of the stuff around at the moment, and I don't think I'd ever have seen a band of their like on TOTP before. Some minor mailing list/WWW news: I have updated the guitar tabs *again* with more from S.A.Clarke (Lazy Line) and Ben Ufton - thanks to them. Still looking for Tigermilk tabs... :) I have also added the superfluous(?) ability to see who's on each of the mailing lists at the click of a mouse - as some of you are bothering to send majordomo requests to find out. You can also see a quick and dirty breakdown of who's from where - which makes me mention that there's now a staggering 12 people from France on the list - well done. Waiting for Australia and Sweden to catch up... It's also worth reiterating that I can't see inside sites called "*.net" - they could be from anywhere so some people won't be counted from their own countries. If anyone cares... All this stuff is available at http://www.majordomo.net/sinister as always. Oh yes, and if anyone would like to volunteer to run a Showaddywaddy list separately - I had a look on www.ubl.com and there isn't one yet - so a nice job for somebody :) I'd love to but there's too much real work to do here just now.... Finally I mailed Rough Guides re. the proposal to do an entry - nothing back yet. I wanted to know if we should bother, i.e. what criteria they use to decide if a band makes a worthwhile entry, other than writing quality. Hmm... To those who question the excellence of the gainsbourg tribute in Cottiers, let me say that it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. I am, however, struggling to think of what was actually my favourite performance. But hasn't the lead singer from the bathers got a great voice? So was the concert in the QM good? I know it's normally Paul's job to complain about things, but it's not the number of irrelevant postings that's cluttering up my e-mail (because most of them are still either amusing, interesting, or about Shawaddywaddy); it's when I keep getting 2 copies of some of the messages. When people reply to all, which is the easiest way for most of us to reply, could they remember to delete the other names from the send-to field?
