Sinister: South coast meet up

This south coast meet up sounds like a good idea to me. It's just that Scotland seems a very long way to travel, (Manchester was too, but that was just about manageable), as lovely as all you listees are. So it would seem a good idea to have another meet up at the other end of the country, for all of us Southern Jessies, we might even get a guest of honour in the form of everyones favourite FunkySeb, if we time it right. Just thought that I would agree with Adrian. My votes are with either Brighton or London(not that is on the southcoast but it is southern and pretty central). Sinister: Athens show

To everyone going to the Athens show, I really want to participate in the meet up but don't think I can. :( However, I'd still really love to meet some of you, so feel free to come up and say hi if you see me at the 40 Watt or around there. I'll be wearing a black shirt, and maybe a jacket (also black), weather permitting. I'm about 5'7", and I've got dark brown wavy-ish hair that's right now just past my shoulders. I think that's a good idea about having some way to recognize each other, anyone have any suggestions? Sinister: Athens meet-up

I know that there's a meet-up board on the Jeepster site, but I wanted to make sure this got through to the appropriate parties. The basics are this: There is now pretty officially a meet-up at the Engine Room, which is a bar that's right next door to the 40 Watt. Literally, right next door. No searching or nothin'. So everyone head over there after the show. The only things to be concerned with are a) how do we identify each other and b) 40 Watt shows tend to start and end pretty late, and Athens bars close at 2:00 am. If anyone has any good ideas on how we can identify each other, suggest away. If you want to find me, I'll be wearing my favorite grey shirt (grey is apparently the "in" color this fall. How fashionable of me!) and my scuffed-up pair of black Doc Martens. More specifically, almost everyone aggrees that I look like Tom Hanks...some say vaguely, some say eerily. I say vaguely. I will be accompanied by my friend Laurie who is blond and thin and unbelieveably hip. Come and say hi if you spot me. On the question to b), one Tony Johnson, Athens resident, has very kindly offered use of his house if the Engine room closes down before appropriate B&S-style rowdiness can happen. Still, everybody meet at the Engine Room. Hopefully, the 40 Watt will come to their senses on this show and have it end at a decent hour. I'm assuming there'll only be B&S and the opening band, which means....oh, I'll say 12:30 ending time. We'll see. Of course, if anyone, ahem, "bumps into" a band member, bring them along. Whoever brings Stuart M. wins. No points for Chris or Sarah since they'll probably beat us to the bar. And will have drunk it half dry by the time we get there..."Bars stay open til 2:00 am?! Hi Everybody, Just wanted to let those of you attending the Athens show, that you're invited to my house for a post show get-together-thingy. Let me know if there is any interest in this plan. The other option is to gather at one of Athens fine bars (Engine Room, Manhatten, Lunch Paper, Mean Mike's) for post show cocktails, etc. Has anyone set any dining plans? I know there was talk of sushi, but I haven't heard much about that lately. Sinister: Ink Polaroid/Lonliness Is Fun

Here's me, reading a book about a girl who lapses into an alcohol/Valum induced coma, mere hours after washing down a tranquilizer with 3 bottles of cider. I look uneasy with a hint of panic I think, but never the less..in focus. The rest of the room, a bit of a blur...you can kind of make out a larger than life Chris Geddes behind me on the wall, by the bed, the dim flicker of lights dancing inside our pumpkins...mine and his. (not Chris Geddes by the bye) Keeping his lit, as well as mine, makes him seem closer some how. To the left of me is my B&S mug, with old...stale tea in. Next to that, a smattering of candy and chocolates wrappers...Over here...you can just make out my new Uncle Bulgaria looking wisely on. And if he could speak....he's surely tell me that rewinding "Modern Rock Song" 12 times in a row is bordering on psychotic behavior and he'd send me to bed in my burrow with no Chamomile Soup. This photo shows all too well the circles under my eyes...this is one for the bin i'm afraid. Sinister: russian midget strippers

bet nobody who missed a B&S show can say they saw russian midget strippers as a filler!! i'm sure jessica is the only one still reading this, so to you i'll say, you (and i'm quite dislexic, so sorry about the name axo!), didn't miss much. the midgets had already left, so there we sat, the only two females that had more on than our bras, in a strip club. if anyone else is reading this, please don't form any opinions of canadian sinisterines. we had, of course, had a few too many at the pub. which is something else i must apologize for. i tend to ramble once i've downed a few, and now looking back, am rather embarresed. next time remind me not to get pissed until i've known everyone at the table at least a day! so who's up for a bus tour of the american west coast, if and when B&S tour there?!! i'll drive! okay, gotta go to english. we're reading As I Lay Dying, which is how i feel after hearing the words REFUND instead of RESCHEDULED. oh well. hope last nights show was great and isobelle was better!! cheers deb +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list please mail "sinister(a)majordomo.net". Sinister: RE:Dog on Wheels

I had a dog on wheels toy when I was little too. It was by Fisher Price. You pulled it around with a long plastic string and it made a yapping noise. I think it was the noise that made it such a fun toy. Kind of like the fun and wonderful noise of B&S. Only I'm beginning to think I will never hear it live. The word out on the street is that they won't be re-scheduling the TO show. Sinister: Girls boobs - a reply

So...does it count as "staring at girls' boobs" if you just have a quick glance when their heads are briefly turned, or do you actually have to be intently focussed 18 inches below eye level for a number of minutes for it to count? Cos let's be honest, we've all done the latter...erm, that wasn't what I meant at all... I find it hard to believe that clitoral stimulation is achieved with this mystical bit of metal, but only because it's one thing rubbing against such sensitive areas with parts with a bit of yield (oh use your imagination, for heavens sake), and another crushing it with rigid steel, mistress. But then I don't have one (a clitoris, that is, although my sex toy collection is pitifully non-existent too). Having said that, they are in proximity, as Peter (i think) explained, at certain points during coitus(1), so perhaps it does work after all. The prospect of several curious sinisterites checking these facts in a practical way doesn't do my blood pressure any good, either. Did anyone come up with a definitive recognition tool for the New York shows? So there you are. I'm still about 55 mails short of getting them all read, but work wouldn't like it very much if that was how they spent the next hour or so, so I'm gong to go and phone someone instead.
