Having decided not to take a long drive today, I needed something to take up some time, so I checked my ticketmaster and made the same discovery that Megan did -- Nov. 2 is on sale! hi there! thanks for the explanation of what an "arab strap" means. i had heard the word before but never paid attention to what it meant. i am seriously thinking of going to chicago for the show on oct. 26th. i have a friend in chicago that i can stay with, but i don't know if he would want to go to the show, and he can be bit boring.:( is there anyone who is going to the show that could put me up for 2 days? :) i would be eternally grateful. i am fun and nice person (no i won't kill you in your sleep!) all this depends on the price of flights from la to chicago, if i can get a good price, i am going to go, if the price is too steep, i am just going to have to wait until next year when they *hopefully* come to la la land. cheers! jennifer +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list please mail "sinister(a)majordomo.net". Oh, here's another review for the archive, if anyone's keeping them, this one sent to me before publication by an anonymous admirer. But I see "Uncut" is out today anyhow, so it's not so exciting now. Sorry. Anyway, the reviewer, Bobert McTiggerty, is clearly after a roll in the hay with one or other of the band. Things that made this young(ish) boy sigh today.. 1: Missing the bus by *this* much. 2: The ending of the last story in 'The elephant vanishes' which I finished on the tube (just between Russell Square and Holborn) 3: Getting to work and realising I'd been rota'd to take books out of boxes all morning. 4: Stuart M sweetly intoning 'It could have been a brilliant career' over my shop's PA, the first time TWIGGYBASTARD has been put on by anyone other than me! (does this count as a full B&S conversion?) 5: Dreaming of New York and Philedelphia. 6: Boots running out of avacado and bacon sandwiches. That's it so far. Hello! I now have a confirmed date and ticket details for the gig in Toronto: Saturday October 24th Toronto, Opera House, 735 Queen Street East, Toronto, ONT, M4M 1H1. I;m not sure how much the tickets cost, but they will be available NEXT WEEK from Ticketmaster on 41 870 8000, in person at Rotate This Records, 620 Queen Street West on 416 504 8447 and Sonic Temple Records, 5165 Yonge Street on 416 222 2004. There are two more confirmed dates as well: Wednesday October 28th Athens, 40 Watt Club, 285 West Washington Street, Athens, GA, 30601. and Friday October 30th Washington, Black Cat, 1831 14th Street North West, Washington DC. when i have ticket details for these i will pass them on!
