Sinister: tigers milk for sale! very cheap!

Actually that's a terrible joke, it was one made on x-fm, when someone inquired about Looper, but a wonder that they have time for a side-project Dearest List My right to run has been taken away for me, as today my run took the following sequence, run, fall, limp, walk.... my mother said i shouldn't run with a bad back. i hate it when she's right. I only run after dark, so to avoid embarassing sightings from people I know would smirk, and how they would roar with laughter if they saw my dramatic slip! There I was, pounding down the streets of bengeo, the orange glow of the street lamps glimmering in the puddles when suddenly, my back seems to fold in half like a collapsable bed, to which my legs decided to do a quick rendition of the funky chicken before i fell in a heap. As if this event alone was not embarassing enough, I had to stumble home in a half-run bent in half. Thankfully i can now stand up straight, but with great pain. Re: PJMiller's tale of Massiel; Ahh, such memories of Michael Robinson, formerly of Brighton and Hove Albion as he managed to score 4 times in 24 appearances for Ireland. He scored 12 times for Liverpool in 83/84, but nonetheless this televisual moment sounds like the fitting highlight to a wonderful career. I don't know about any of you, but I'm quite excited about this whole festival lark. Warrander tells me that there will be large breasted ladies and mud wrestling onstage with Cornelius. And I believe him. Do you think they allow cameras? As a result of this vital information, it appears that I shall be making my way to the South Coast as part of a 22 man posse. We shall be wearing leathers and combing our hair with flick combs bought from a souvenir shop at Mont St Michel. Now there's a thing. Why would people go to Mont St Michel to buy a flick comb? I mean... I can hardly argue with the logic, having purchased one myself, but personally, I'd have had grave reservations otherwise. Does anyone else remember the Boomtown Rats video where he combs his hair with a flick comb? He was trying manfully to look dead hard, like. He hadn't even bothered to use the Dax first. No wonder he was a shite DJ. This will also mean another chance to see Mercury Rev. Their attempt to play every venue in Dublin is currently underway with news of their 3rd visit in the last couple of months. Ideally, this will lead them to play in Slattery's, home of the original Thin Lizzy mosaic logo mirror. It's cunningly positioned on the way to the jacks, so if I can nab them on their way past, I can take photos and sell them for millions. I may try to collar Stuart David into paying the mirror a visit when this Looper thing happens next month. If anyone called him twee, out would come the Thin Lizzy mirror photo. Then the boot would be on the other foot. O yes. Sinister: Dinklestiltskinstock Festival

How much is a ticket without a poxy chalet? I'm stopping up all night, mate, rogering the dodgems and jump-starting the donkeys. No, but seriously, 85 knicker's a bit steep, innit? Especially seeing as all the bands are the aural equivalent of an outside lavatory. So what I've decided to do, to subsidise the event, is to hire an eight-seater chalet and set up the Sinister Knocking Shop. It'll work like this: I'll bring along 8 ladies of ill-repute dressed up as Lulu, France Gall and other top representatives of the Yé-Yé movement, and install them in my massive chalet. Obviously, there'll be more boys than girls at the festival, so not everyone will be able to get a snog. Needless to say, that kind of thing can ruin a weekend, which is where my Yé-Yé troupe comes into its own. For a reasonable sum of money, all those boys who've been unable to get a snog can come to my den of iniquity and have a snog with the Yé-Yé bird of their choice. Demand is likely to be pretty high, so I'll install close circuit TV, so that those unable to get a snog even if they are willing to pay for it can watch proceeedings from a smaller capacity bar nearby. Good idea? I think so. Speaking of that smaller capacity bar, I advise you all to make a bee-line for it well before the Pastels come on, because it's liable to be pretty busy then. I just did a lap of honour around the house in honour of the drummer from Showaddywaddy's son representing his country at high jump. It's true, I have. That would be Caesar Romeo's son, right? Magic! On Saturday I was lucky enough to see Massiel, the Yé-Yé girl "par excellance" and winner of the 1968 Eurovision Song Contest, on the television, discussing the upcoming (but now gone) Barcelona - Real Madrid football match. She was surprisingly knowledgeable for a bird, although she supports Real Madrid (boo!). She dresses in such a way that people are liable to throw stones at her in the street, and never shuts up. I liked her quite a lot, and look forward to her next appearance. She didn't mention Belle and Sebastian, but I could tell she was a big fan from the lunatic look in her eye. Uninterestingly, she was talking to former Brighton and Hove Albion star Michael Robinson. And another bloke. Bornemouth's miles away from Hastings. Snow Patrol are on Radio Ulster or something tonight, and Katrina hasn't told us yet, so I am. Sinister: Cod fish battered balls!

So! I get back from London - after having failed an interview dreadfully with HORRIBLE Surrey woman (bitchbag) - and I work all day Sunday. HECTIC DAY! And on Monday I get up at 7.30 to head off to college - I turn up and GODAMN THEM they have cancelled my Spanish lesson! But I had a Sausage and Egg Muffin things in...*urk* McDonalds which was NICE. Thank you to everyone who made my stay in London so lovely! Especially Pam and Mike! Trousers was very nice when I met him, even though I would like to flush his head down the toilet cos he said my Miffy bag was a raving bag. Yeah? Well I think that Trousers was just pretending to be all fey and indie-foppish and that his Muji gear was just hiding a Kappa jacket and white jeans urrrrgh.....yeah, thats it. And it was lovely meeting Sezzie and Taggette! Either I am colour blind, or Tag has turned to peroxide but I did not spot much gingerness there. Trust me though I am usually more fun when thoughts of "I failed my interview. Why don't I just leave university and any aspirations RIGHT NOW IN THE GUTTER WHERE I BELONG" and general wallowing is not the order of the day. It was fun to meet Tim again with his gay leg, and seeing Andy! just as I was going! And Kevan Cooke. You yes you! You managed to get away without leaving a message in my miffy book! Not even three words! I will catch you...yes. I now have a day off college - and I am spending it trying to work out how the fuck you do tables for an internet site. i can't do them! They are stupid and for wets and weeds and I shun them utterly. I can't be bothered doing frames cos then I have to create a NON-FRAMES version as well which is far too much chiz. OH GOLLY! Isn't Camber Sands EXCITING!!! I can't wait already!!! Why isn't Chris Leonard on the bill though? He'd be better than (hem hem) God Speed You Black Emperor who ARE war of the worlds FACT!!!! and he's defintely harder than the Pastels. *shudder* OH MY LORD the thought of being an enclosed space with Stephen Pastel is VERy scary OH NO!!!! I'll hide behind Keith. I'll sick (?!) Keith on the Pastels! That would be more fun than seeing them emperors anyway. Hehe. I wish they'd called themselves the Emperor Penguins instead. I've been reconsidering going to this thing and mailing / phoning (later) all my more obvious friends. So you could see me there after all, depite my protestations. Anyway, the point of this is, one of the bands listed is 'Cinema'. Does this mean David Gedge's new band, who when I last heard were called Cinerama or is it not? It's not a deciding factor really, I'd just like to know. David? I'd better get going now, but before I go, I saw this in the Guardian on Saturday (in the normally unread 'Jobs & Money' section) and it ties in with the 'sinister is taking over the world' theory.
