Sinister: "Boil some water! Lots of it!'

Hello, I too went to the theatre the other day. Very hot and stuffy ('The only thing I get from the theatre is a sore arse'- Paul McCartney (when he was going out with Jane Asher. he says the nicest things)) but it was very good. My brother took me to see Chekhov's 'Three sisters'. He's funny. (Chekhov, not my brother. Mind you...). Some of his stuff is hilarious but he has a very dark side. This one was very depressing. All the sisters' hopes are thwarted, their lovers sent away or killed.. Near the end the eldest says 'maybe, if we wait a little longer, we shall find out why we live, why we suffer...Oh if only we knew!' Not if Chekhov's got anything to do with it, you won't. Britney Spears- why? She's on TV right now and it's just pointless. When was it decided that all teeny acts would sing half arsed anemic 'soul' music? Take That, Boyzone, 5? 4? Miami Boredom Syndicate. I suppose Robbie does half arsed anemic 'indie' music....just for a bit of variety. Talking of half arsed indie music and in reply to whoever it was who asked: I am in a band. We played at The Bull and Gate 2 or 3 weeks back and it was lovely. We've just recorded what lots of people are saying is our best song yet. Picturebox (after the schools TV programme) is our name. Think I blew my chances for a good review when I attacked Simon White (Music For Girls fanzine) for insulting Sunderland AFC. I thought I was a pacifist. Never mind. It's nice that football is loved by some on the list and in the B&S world ( at Bowlie for instance). Too often there is this divide between artiness, or anything not seen as macho or hard, and football. A bit like the outsiders/ in crowd thing at school which was discussed recently. Do you know what I mean? Not expressing myself very well. Think I'll leave it there. Sorry to post twice, but I remembered a scene that follows the one I just mentioned: where marge and homer are chasing Bart around the house and Marge puts across the baby/dog fence in the kitchen doorway, and Homer says, in a backwoods voice, "Get 'em, Ma!" Sinister: ummm...things: no more simpsons. please.

As much as I like it, I've had enough of the simpsons - when ever I go into to a pub with my friends all blokes can talk about is the simpsons and football, forever, like it is all a nineties male can talk about, and I don't like football at all, so although simpsons offers a relief from it, it does get a bit much. So when i'm confronted by a sea of e-mails regarding it, it's like there's no escape... As for black box recorder - did you hear that song on the b-side to england made me - factory radio - i thought it was really good actually - a return to the simple autours pop songs that i really liked in the old days: junk shop clothes and stuff, as opposed to the later ones. changing the subject briefly: if anyone has nothing to do next monday, 21st, and they are in the london area, then they are more than welcome to come to my bands gig at the red eye...can even download a flyer on our website. Sinister: thesipmsons: a sebby topic

i find it funny that almost all (if not all) of the contributors to the recently flowing simpsons thread have been male. i'm not trying to be sexist, mind you, i am just reporting an objective fact that i've noticed. i find it amusing, though, because all of my male friends at school have an overt obsession with this show (which, if i've been informed correctly is bases on the town springfield, ohio where m. groenig attended college). my friends will start spitting out these quotes. i'll sit there (it happened at dinner alot) and finally i'll ask "what's that from?" and they'll look at me like i've got an ice cream cone on my head and say, "simpsons, kim" i finally got some of the references by the time we got to the end of the year (thanks to some late night drinking and viewing hours). i like the simpons, i think it's a very smart critique of society. but i'm not obsessed with it, and come to think of it, i don't know any females who are obsessed with it. is it a gender thing? maybe, i don't know any males who have an obsession with leopard print shoes and red lipstick like i do. i'm sitting here bored at work (as usual) but right besidem a newly installed scanner. so, as dr. allen pearl in "waiting for guffman" says "LOOKOUT!" miss marie elia is sending me photos which will be posted soon on the photo pages. hold on to your buxom selves (or mine if you need to). oh and marie, suck it up and let go of your blood! you can't keep it forever :) i hope your mummy gets you your teletubby. i'm losing my attention span, it's dwindling away from my bitty mind. all day, since i haven't been working, i've been reading people magazine, whilst a nice old copy of rabbit, run (which i STILL haven't finished) pleads with me to be opened. perhaps i shall answer it... one quick question before i a go-go: if any object could talk to you what would you want it to be? it would be my car, but it's buried in the backyard with my hermit crabs. i don't know what it would be now. i'm still in mourning. anyway, just let me know (not the list), perhaps if people reply, i can post the results. or perhaps not tootoo, KIMberly xx +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the reborn Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail "sinister(a)majordomo.net". Sinister: 94, is it a magic number?

Hey ! First of all, sorry Mark because of adressing my post just to you instead of the list.My state yesterday morning was one of the dizziest I can remember. I just opened my box and found 94 messages (and I checked yesterday and only left about 30),92 Sinister ones. It must be the end of the Spring, Carpe Diem, write today what you maybe cannot write tomorrow because the server will be down..etc.And among the pile I have already stacked in my brain,quotes from supa dupa fly Nicky Dastoor about 'on my cd player right now...'reminding him of 'i am wanking while posting'.There was a widespread concern about the short supply of smut lately, no doubt Nick relies on himself as the one to sort out our worries.My God.I am happy my mum cannot understand English in case she ever reads these things.Ewan is not going to be demanded again for a frontal one if Hollywood hears of Nick. For Jarkko, who is the reason why I have revised the photo-page today to find out about his rising star in the crush voting rates, the Replacements were regarded by Winona Ryder as her favourite band ever and lots of indie boys then opened their ears to them. About how to improve Tigermilking nights at the Garage, I will attend the next one even if my granny decides to marry for second time on the same day after being a widow 45 years.There cannot be any better improvement.And I will be drinking Pimm's, it is one of my Summer intentions.In fact, we had been talking of having a Posh party here around the lake in Nottingham campus, with crocket and cricket, cucumber sandwiches,picnic baskets with the family silver tea service and Pimm's, darling.
