dear Sinisterines. i hope everyone is well. im feeling g-r-a-t-e (in a jenowl stylee). its so lovely to be on holiday, even if i do have a 2000 word essay due in 2 weeks time. my parents dont seem to be quite up to speed on the fact that i *never* do essays until 3 days before theyre due in, so theyre stressing. fortunately theyve got more pressing things to worry about, like what degree my brothers going to take (archaeology and ancient history or ppe). in fact theyre so stressed out by the whole thing that they sent him on holiday to the south of france (!!!) with an out-of-date passport. fortunately the people he was with managed to smuggle him over the border. the trouble is of course that he takes after my mum (half indian), so if its too sunny in nice (!!!) then they probably wont let him back in the country *s* i wish. teachers, its quite good and they keep playing b&s. in last weeks episode there were no fewer than 3 b&s songs: dirty dream #2, mayfly and twattybus which is their end credits song. the soundtrack is generally good, although the cd got a terrible review in the nme. easter. er, its nearly easter, so i thought id do my bit of politics, or whatever it is. please dont buy nestle eggs (rolos, milky bar, fruit pastilles etc) because nestle kill babies in the developing world. ( go here if you want to find out more about the nestle boycott: http://www.babymilkaction.org/pages/boycott.html ) i know this isnt the kind of thing i normally do, but i wanted to warn you all. eat milky ways instead because my friend is in their advert, or will be when they start showing it. the sillistrators are brilliant. wow. i am in awe. er, my life? i introduced my girlfriend to my ex-school friends the other week. it went quite well, except aparently my ex boyfriend was uncomfortable with it. id love to know what hed say if he knew id got off with his girlfriend over christmas. ah, revenge. actually its been ages since ive posted, but i cant think of anything else that has happened to me. (btw, what happened to ms pauline l shivers? i wanted to know what happened to her and violette, her aunt myrtles and of course theodor). i went to see jarvis cocker djing in londons-trendy-hoxton, it was full of londons-trendy-hoxtonites, who are frankly scarey. and he played lots of 80s stuff which was lost on me because i was 8 when they finished. but there was one fantastic moment (which actually lasted about 10 minutes), where my jarvis (my gbf, no not goblin friend, gay best friend) was standing next to the real jarvis. although since my jarvis is asian and currently has bleached blond hair and blue contact lenses the doppleganger effect was spolied a bit. but it was real kodak moment, or would have been if any of us had had a camera. oh a while back someone mentioned candy box in berwick street. which was my all time favourite club for a while, because drinks are but a pound (although they do water the vodka). i havent been since last summer, but it gave me a thrill of nostalgia as i sat in the goodricke computer room. i will be seeing mr stuart david at borders oxford st. also does anyone have any information about the york sinister picnic? pip pip, FB X ******************************** www.chickclick.com Sign up for free email. http://chickmail.chickclick.com Win free stuff! http://contests.chickclick.com ******************************** +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail sinister(a)missprint.org. Im gonna try and make this my last post for a while but being back home limits my activities. im going to see broadcast tonight, im dilemad at what to wear. A strange little part of me wants to be 16 again and wear funky shirts and ties. I bought some cigarettes the other day to de-stress me a bit but i wrote all over them and now i wish i hadnt. Im weird like that. I also decided one evening that adidas were pants, so i picked off two of the stripes. I was gonna do all of them but it turned out that the stripes actually held the shoe together. so a bit of advice: if you are like me and have strange convulsions of thought, buy some bubble wrap instead, it will save misery in the long run. Um some sweet little thing has voted for me in that crushie thing (perhaps out of simpathy or maybe their hand slipped) well if it is tim burgess in hiding STOP HIDING NOW. hello, i'm back in the highlands for a couple of weeks, then me and The Boyfriend (*waves*) are moving to Embra for the summer. Coo-el. Hee hee. Poor Will and his courtroom high-jinx. what was the verdict by the way? i'm sure myself and john could easily re-create a Hamish MacBeth style police/polis drama. esp since i live just in the village next to where the ACTUAL REAL series was filmed. hehe. robert carlisle, yum indeed. i've left glasgow. not a happy bunny. however i cannot wait to move to embra with paul cos it's gonna be great and fab and ace and everything. i am all loved-up properly for the first time ever and it is a great an special thing indeed. saw the manics at the barrowlands on tuesday. james dean bradfield winked at me. my sister screamed. i swooned. yum again. i have a thing about chicken flavour super noodles. how nice they are. i also saw snow patrol recently. their album is rather beautiful. Sinister: Triffic wheeze

Dear fellow sinistrines, do you remember way back whenever it was when we all had triffic fun stitching up the Brits? Well here is a chance to do it all again, although sadly not involving our favourite popsters. Sorry Honey. A lot of you will have had an email about this from other people, as there is a concerted effort amongst japesters everywhere to make this work, so sorry for making you read about it again. Some of you may or may not know that it is Census time here in the UK again, where a friendly government employee comes round to your house and gives you a form to fill in full of probing questions about your personal circumstances. And the expressed threat on the front cover of a fine if you fail to tell grinning Mr Blair all about your personal details, or if you knowingly give inaccurate information. However, as it says, this does not apply to question 10 which asks what your religion is. You can safely put for question 10 any religion you wish. And here's the good part. If 10'000 people all put the same religion under 'Other Religions', it is officially recognised by HM government. So. If, for example, 10'000 people were all to put 'Jedi' down as their religion...... you get the picture, I'm sure. I think it's a triffic laugh, and have already filled my form out accordingly. So, if you think the government should be subject to the embarrassment of recognising 'Jedi' as an official religion, you know what to do. Tell your friends. Calling all sinisterians, I'm am beginning to become worried about Nigel the sinister spotter. I too live in Sheffield and can tell you that I'll be doing my upmost to prevent being seen. At the moment this involves hiding under a blanket in my bedroom but at some point I'll have to leave the house. Is he able to smell us out in a 'Witches'esque style? Though I could think of worse things than to be turned in to a mouse( there on that stair, with clogs on) To prevent capture I've devised a cunning disguise I will become a Gatecrasher kid- through the use of sleeveless teeshirts and spiky hair I'll be able to blend in to masses that inhabit shef's premier dance club. Sinister: randy toads,black smoke and phil mitchell....

hello there.... ...well i should be in college i suppose..but hey...its the last day of term and i have no games to bring in... :) ...i suppose i had a kind of spirit ditch too yesterday...it took a detour while on my way to buy cigarettes yesterday evening and walked all around the little places i used to go when i was younger...all the little bushes and holes that you forget when you stop playing around in the mud on lighter evenings...i think you can probably see where this is going....i got to this lake called plumbers pit (no,i have no idea why it is called this...perhaps plumbers stood in a big hole in days of yore and dicussed plungers)...but unsuprisingly it wasnt a lake anymore....not that it had been concreted over or anything...but it now just seemed like a bigger than average pond...as a child this thing was huge,the biggest notable landmark until at least the post office....i know these are cliches but its true that we climbed trees,looked for randy toads, fished and generally mucked about down there...admittidley it wasnt all golden summer evenings and cherub-like schoolkids with catapults....as i got older it became a bountiful hunting ground for pervy twelve year olds looking for discarded 'specialist' magazines and many a minor act of arson and vandalism was commited around its waters...on cold evenings you could go and warm yourself on the acrid black smoke of a plastics fire..you just had to watch out for aerosol can explosions....but i never notcied the ugly great factories that towered over the trees...and i never realised that the whole bloody place wasnt a natural lake at all...it was just a gravel pit filled in so people moving into new houses after the war would have somwhere to go on a sunday afternoon..i'm guessing a bit here but the trees looked just a little tooo perfectly arranged to be naturally grown....there were still fishing spots there but i'm 75% there were no fish left....so i just sat down and smoked and turned up my walkman to drown out the rumble of the next door industrial estate and felt generally shit...i suppose its going to be the same for every kid that grows up around it...it'll seem huge and exciting until you reach a certain age and forget how to be a kid anymore...i suppose i should have known really..i hadnt been there for a good couple of years and i knew it wouldnt look quite as big and interesting anymore...but it just kind of got to me....how i lost *it* so quickly...how i can never look at anything in the same way as i used to....these are probably obvious things i'm saying and these all comes across as pretentious guff....but i had to write it down.....ah bollocks...i was feeling better this morning too.... ta ta.... hello what a strange week this has been. monday morning i half- heartedly rolled out of my bed and trudged to my drawing class. barely awake, i found myself in the elevator with a curious-looking man. it may have been his odd beaded leather jacket or the spooky look he gave me...he caught my attention immediately. when i arrived at my classroom, i sat down and began arranging my materials and waiting for the professor to set up a still-life composed of crumpled paper towels and toilet paper rolls, as he had done nearly every period thus far. i set up my drawing board, popped tigermilk into my discman, grabbed a conte, and looked up to see the creepy elevator man standing naked in the center of the room. his expression was stoic, his entire body was hairless, and he was holding a four-foot wooden rod in his extended left arm so that he looked something like a middle-aged poseidon in spectacles. his name was jerry. (i rather wished we had not been told his name...it was just all too personal when the professor said things like "why not try one bending over this time, jerry"...and especially when jerry came outside for a smoke with us during the break.) i know that as an aspiring artist i must be professional about such things---under normal circumstances i am quite fond of nudity, and i am grateful to jerry for his services-- -but it's easy to be a bit put-off when you're expecting balls of paper and instead find a strange man's naked hairless bottom staring you in the face at eight-thirty on monday morning.
