they sound like...well a mixture of the beach boys, the velvet underground,
the stooges and erm, a little bit of everything...i'll never be rock
critic...
the first album "lazer guided melodies" is a classic...well i think
so...actually i remember when it was about to be released, i was quite
amused by the adverts in the NME because i'd misread the title, it being in
a sort of squiggle, and thought the album was called "Lager guided
melodies"...anyway, i'd recommended Spacemen 3 as well...especially
"playing with fire"...as for spiritualized, "ladies and gentlemen..." is
fabulous...go get!
Erm, while we're on the subject...the other night i saw Mogwai play
live...one of the only few gigs i've seen were they sounded miles better
than on record...it was FANTASTIC!!!!(even though i hate the word "gig")
Go see for yourselves!!!
love,
alan

Oh and I'll bet they won't play The Netherlands (as usual). Getting more and
more depressed here, listening to everyone getting excited about and making
plans for the Manc gig. Sobsobsob!

I tried every shop in Cork and most shops in Dublin. So, no need to come
over to Ireland to hunt Tigermilk.

yep, go and see them if you have the chance. and take
sunglasses 8) - the light show is superb, a simple idea done
really well. i saw them recently at the london gig and they
pulled out more stops than i knew existed - gospel singers,
the works. sounds cheesy but isn't. don't know how it'll all
sound without previous knowledge of the material but...
can't believe i didn't go to the albert hall gig, so close
to my birthday too, i must've been ill...
oh, and someone asked me about getting a copy of the lp for
him some time ago but plans sort of fell apart. still
interested? sister ray was recently selling them for less
than a tenner...
ah, actually, there is some b&s content. someone was asking
on teletext (ch4 page 480something) the other day where the
lyrics 'lisa knows a girl who's been abused' came from...
andy
just me, my spike, my arm and my spoon...

Great record,that.

The local one in Leicester is called Car Wash (imaginative, huh?) What was so good about the 70's that now makes it popular after 15 years of derision, anyway?
Er....maybe David Holmes could get B&S to do a remix? (Back on topic! Hurrah!)

Just thought I'd write and tell people where NOT to get Tigermilk !!
I've tried every record shop I could find in Nottingham, Halifax, Leeds,

It'd save that lass (can't remember her name) from hunting in these areas !!

Spiritualized is an offspring of Spacemen 3 led by Jason Pierce. They have
released the indisputable album of the year called LADIES AND GENTLEMEN WE ARE FLOATING IN SPACE. ............ The DARK SIDE OF THE MOON of the 90's.
THAT'S a recommendation?!?
