every time i go to change the channel
the remote goes and hides
it slips away
before the ad-break
leaving me high and dry.
i ought to take its batteries
and give them to the hippo clock
but then id be stuck on channel one
staring gormlessly like a shmuck.
always i do find it
down with the crisps and dirt
loose change and torn off nails
down to where the neverworld begins
spiders webs and baby snails
down to were no light can reach
and its closer than you'd guess
lying down the side of the sofa
having a little rest.

crisp bliss

if i ever eat a packet of crisps again
it will be too soon.
all day saturday i was locked in a room
piled high were boxes of potato chips
begging to be eaten and fatten hips.
i tried to restrain from their seductive packets
but under it all im just a crisp addict.
later i was sick and started to drown
there wasnt a chance i could keep
the 30 packets down.
gasping for air mum found the key
kicked open the door
releasing the slurry and me.
today was spent cleaning the floor
wishing that i hadnt eaten more.
a lesson to me - i repent my sin
i shouldnt really of locked myself in.

Wow! - such negativity - the cardigans side by side with the spice girls - i
would think these people are judging the cardigans band soley on the basis of
one or two songs - (you know, the ones their record company seized on to flog
and typecast them for all time) sad - i would expect more from the folks who
love a nice and sensitive band like b&s - if you could open yourselves up to
listenig to their other work you may be surprised at it's depth. As for b&s
getting to big to enjoy - well how can you deny a band hard earned success?
It is too bad for us as fans when the tiny shows give way to larger ones -
but most bands do not make much money at all - and to begrudge a band to
finally make some return on their efforts so we can selfishly keep them to
ourselves seems to me at odds with the ethics we should uphold. And besides,
I hardly think that b&s are likely to be playing at festivals or wembley -
seems like that is opposite to their desires anyway. I think we can look
forward to a long period of intimate shows from these folks - so don't
despair! Also skreddy has some extra tix for the sunday ny show so be sure
and fill his inbox with oodles of requests! take care all-
see some of ya at the nyc shows!?!

A friend of mine has just sent me 60 seconds of "Le Pastie..." and it's
giving me a kind of feeling I never thought I would have again in 1997. We
are too close of the next century for one to feel like this about a ...
song. I'm 21, and this kind of.. made me feel abandoned. It's too

The posters are only part of the competition, you can't but them though
occasionally we may give one or two away (not guaranteed of course)

In a month or so we'll have a credit card machine so you may be able to
