Sinister: Black session tapes

Hi all, As I was in the audience during the radio session last monday, I couldn't tape it. But dont worry, I will get the copy next week and I will send the tapes to the people that I have "selected" (I will indicate their names again soon) as fast as possible. Then, everyone will be able to ask these lucky people for a tape . Be patient please :) I hope that Bernard Lenoir will also broadcast the 2 songs you could not hear on the radio: I know where the summer goes (during the news at 10.00pm) Sleep the clock around (after 10.30) If he does, I will of course add these 2 songs on the tape. Of course I will get rid of the news in the middle of the session :) Stephane Buron sent the playlist so i dont have to do that stuff again. But Stephane forgot to say that the session was just great!! And yesterday, the show at La Cigale (Paris)was great too!! They seem to be so happy on stage. Stuart Murdoch was jumping, dancing, smiling. They also played a new song : Lord Anthony I love Belle&Sebastian even more. Sinister: Honey Update

Honey List Princess is still home sniffly and sick and lonely. Sadly, Splat and Shirl seem to be shirking their nursemaid duties and can be found lounging in the sunbeams and waiting to be fed, fat lazy ingrates... Honey has finished all his magazines and coloring books and jigsaw puzzles, is running out of bread and milk and orange juice -- and has begun talking to himself. Suggestions on how he might better spend his time while recuperating would be appreciated -- Tag seems to have a vast knowlege of blue videos and creative things to do with cheese. Do they deliver these things from the shops? Hi list, As you may have just read, Philippe DIDN'T record the show, but will get a copy soon, this means that those people I had promised to tape it for will just have to wait a little longer. Never mind, just think of those new tracks, oh I can't wait. Who'd have thought that we would get some new stuff so soon after the release Twattybus. (still no anagrams yet I see!) I don't think Bernard Bressloire is a c*nt at all, Funkyseb. However, I have decided to let you off because if you hadn't pointed out the subtle difference between LW and MW I wouldn't have heard it at all, so thanks very much, my funky little friend. As it happens, I heard it in glorious FM in the end. So ner. Mr Murdoch sounded really nervous at first, which is nice, but soon got into the swing of avoiding any songs off the album they were supposed to be promoting, which is also nice. The highlight for me was "poopy de poo, poopy de pomme" , which was delivered at a hurtling breakneck gallopy pace with loony synth and monster munch drums. I do believe Ms Campbell shouted a bit near the end, which is nice. We'll make a Poly Styrene of her yet. It's a shame there wasn't time for the last song, if the infamous instrument changes had been a bit slicker it would have been all right. The crowd were well into it, was that natural or was there someone holding up instructions like "CHEER NOW!" to help create that Beatlemania vibe? All in all, a very pleasant bit of radio entertainment, which is nice. Miss Erin wrote: Peter Peter Pumpkin-eater, I hope this letter was interesting enough for you (fnar fnar). Someone has to be the pragmatist when Honey's not around. I'm afraid this was the only bit I read properly, I just skimmed the rest. The fact that you didn't suggests that you don't really love her with all your heart. If she were to accept your kind offer, you would know that she was evil, and you could just snatch it out of her hands and go anyway. Result - you get to see the concert and find out whether she's a smasher or not at the same time. Sarah, I know not what you seek Mari Trini-wise, but shall send out a search party immediately. I wouldn't get over excited about Spanish music in general though. But I do know "bailamos el bimbo, que está causando sensación". I've got it. My favourite Spanish group is, damn, I've forgotten what they're called...I can sort you out with Reggae for Lovers too, and Kent Northern Soul compilations that everyone loves. Just say the word. Sinister: You Made Me Forget My .. Birthday

Chance, fortuity, hap, luck, inevitability, necessity, destiny, fate, foreordination, predestination, fortune, hazard,.. : an unpredictable, and uncontrollable 'MASTER' force. Or: << yesterday B&S were playing in Paris, I was there AND it was my birthday >>. What else can I say? I'm happy.. OK may be you don't care but i had to share this. I won't make a review of the concert but i must say i really liked the cover of 'poupee de cire, poupee de son', and Stuart was so funny during the song, all excited and dancing (!!) apart in a corner. I also loved the parts when they start making noises: e.g. the end of Spaceboy Dream. It's a nice contrast with the ballads. Last but not least, i was pretty impressed by Isobel. She does look like Julie Andrews (even Stuart mentioned it) and she was so cute in her flower dress with her embarrassed and shy manners. What a Day ! For the french guys who were at La Fourmi before the concert i wish i were there to chat but i couldn't make it, so maybe next time. The eighth-day Jewish ceremony is called the bris millah, brit millah in non-Diasporic Hebrew.....it is supposedly a covenant with God but I wish I'd been old enough to choose whether I wanted to be aligned. Tho it was pretty funny, I went to my cousin's bris and when they were done and the reception had begun we looked over at the table and there was his little foreskin, just sort of lying there, and my brother and I mulled over whether to steal it and then present it back to him as a Bar Mitzvah present. And for those of you who think that having a circumcision at age 13 is too impossibly painful, from what I remember that is exactly what the Muslims do. I heard that some sects (of Islam) are also pretty big on female (!) circumcision so that they can never derive enjoyment from sex, and in fact makes it almost excruciatingly painful. Sinister: Strange inner workings

Which made me think of Kurt Vonnegut and the sci-fi writer he mentions in (I think) some of his books - but as I've only read Slaughterhouse 5 (if you haven't read it do so immediately) I don't know too much. Anyway, I checked the name of this guy and it turns out to be Kilgore Trout. This piece of information is not, I grant you, particularly interesting, but it struck me that the fish link was more than just coincidence. Forgive me for my ramblings, but I think I'm still slightly delirious with fever, and I've been talking to lawyers all morning, and will be all afternoon. If you've never sat in a room for any period of time with city lawyers, I can assure you that there are fewer duller things in life. Still, my cleverly planned meeting schedule allows me to sit around drinking coffee between meetings, attempting to spark my brain into life with a cryptic crossword. Excitingly, I've been invited to the Groucho club next Thursday, although again, there will be too many lawyers. ( I need to come up with a collective noun for lawyers, any suggestions?)
