Damn, Damn, DAMN.... Why didn't someone say B&S would be on BBC2 tonight???? I changed channels at 8.27 to catch the very end of some "topical" prog called 'The Key', and got the dying strains of 'Modern Rock Song'. The video appeared to be shot in a graveyard, although that may just have been something to do with the credits for the show. Pray tell. I am so disappointed. Did Jeepster or the Band know about this beforehand? If so why no mention? TTFN, The Lairdster. p.s. Does anybody know if Pam Berry is still on the list, only I've been trying to get in touch. Sinister: Chris and Stevie on the telly

Did any other Scottish listees see Stevie & Chris on "The Key" (Scottish events and arts type programme) tonight (thursday 3/12/98)on BBC2 at 8pm? They were talking about Rod Stewart, and I rushed through and videoed what was left of the programme but haven't watched it properly yet because my mum phoned when it was on then i had to go out and i haven't been back yet. and they played the new single as well. this is all fine and dandy but why did i only find it by accident? why weren't we told? and is this programme repeated at all through the week so that i can record the whole interview on a tape where i can keep it, rather than it being stuck in the middle of the tape that just happened to be in my video at the time? sorry to be so grumpy. i should be happy that they were on tv at all, but surely we should have been aware of this?? i've checked the archives and no-one seems to have told anyone about it. did i imagine it? maybe i'll go home and look at the video and it won't have been on at all. No, if I'd imagined it, I'd have imagined Stuart in it too. (But he would have his natural hair colour). Nice to see TBWTAS at No 3 in Select's albums of the year. And for those of you wondering about the Glasgow meet-up I was organising, well I sort of haven't. soory but i've been awfully busy. But if anyone wants to take on the responsibility, I will certainly try to be there when it happens. Hola, Keith, I second that emotion. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't strangely compelled to follow its progress, but isn't the list crush thing spiralling ever more out of control? Oh sure, it's a good laugh, but it's also a sure-fire way of inflating inflatable egos, inspiring desperate "notice me" posts, and giving the more insecure an inferiority complex. I certainly didn't ask to be on it. Some people are always going to get more attention than others, either cos people think they're more entertaining or because they talk more shite, but those who aren't old-timers or natural writers can still come up with something delicious, if they say it with love. Apart from Brad, of course, who is clearly incapable of love and yesterday claimed to have been "intimate" with my mother. Oh, you're bad, Brad. Does this mean I can call you Dad, Brad? Sinister: Glasgow Adventures

Greeting Fellow Listees.. I have just finished filling out the last of my paperwork and now it's official..this sweet li'l american girl is headed to Glasgow next semester. My flight leaves 3 January and I'm so very nervous. Will my American accent and clothes stick out too too much? Shall I have to purchase a pair of flares and platforms? Do they appreciate the fine points of American culture..things like "Mr. Belvedere", "Three's Company", and "TJ Hooker"? Maybe I can join Sarah Wheeler in the stairwell of Mr. Murdoch's apartment building waiting for a glimpse of the silvery trousers. I have been generously granted a copy of Tigermilk, thanks to Jessica Foxinasnow and the Post Office Gods (one must pay homage to them every other Thursday..leaving half a bottle of milk and three pieces of gum in my mailbox). I must say it's absolutely lovely. My favorite so far is "She's Losing It" followed by "We Rule the School."
