Sinister: NOT our way to fall...

Hi all It seems it may be the month for horrid boy/girlfriends. And may well be my turn to have a winge - yes.... I have spoken about my poor boy before. Finally I have decided to let him go - he doesn't love me, he says his heart is cold. This I believe is a result of his ex girlfriend dying in May 2000, a couple of weeks after we started seeing each other. My suspicion is he won't let himself fall in love with me, but if he ever falls in love with someone else I will be heart broken. Another horrible suspicion is he is only attracted to me, and that's all. It is hard to believe that such a sweet boy (29yo man) could be so shallow, but it may well be true. So to sum it up: - he doesn't love me - he doesn't want to be with anyone BUT - he does care very much for me - he feels close to me - he enjoys my company So I decided to let him go, even after he and I went through quite a traumatic hospital experience together, and I needed him. I knew all these things all along, the whole damned 5 months of it, but now I know that it was the best thing to do. Please someone confirm....it'll make me feel better. Well, we're about to find out, aren't we. OK, this is the part where I enlist the help of my myriad witty Sinisterites! As some of you know--is this only a US occurrence?--Coming Out Day is this Wednesday, October 11, and I am ready to fly the rainbow flag, whee! Only, how to do it in style? I have been offered the loan of various rainbow garments, but for some reason I really want to make a t-shirt with iron-on letters. However, my wit seems to be failing me! I came up with the clever "Y2GAY" and was leaning towards that until my friend told me that there were already t-shirts that said that. I wanna be unique, yo! I mean, I only get this chance once, right? Sort of. So anyway, if anyone has any clever t-shirt slogans for a wee befuddled femme, I would be oh so grateful and wear yr words with the gayest of pride. Please help! You all have never failed me yet, I never cease to be amused by yr wacky hijinx. In other news: I live in the Wacky Arts House of my college (Hollins University in Roanoke VA) and tonight our group project was to bring in our favorite song so we could make a mix tape for everyone. I played "Dirty Dream #2"! Yay! It was a hit. Really, it wasnt my favorite, favorite song, I was also thinking of "She's Losing It," but after the girl before me played Michael Jackson's "Bad," wearing nothing but a short overcoat and dancing around the room peeing on herself, I didnt dare play anything so mellow. sinister firstly i have a soulwax ticket for sale for king tuts on the 20th of this month anyone interested please contact me asap on 07940 316 821 there is not much point in emailing me as my access is limited i am hmm many things right now but more than anything i am very angry and upset tis my boyfriend as he is in the army we only get to speak on the fone occasionally hes been gone 4 wks today and will be back in 3wks 4 10days now the whole time he has been gone i have missed him 24/7 i love and miss him so much it hurts recently he has been hassling me about school telling me how i should be sticking in as if like im never there or something and i never do any work and hes been talking to my mum bout it and she is agreeing (the reason it may seem i have very little work to do is bcoz i am only sitting 3 subjects as opposed to the 5 i did last year- so far this year i have been given 2 pieces of written h/work one of which is complete and handed in the othe has to be done over this week) anyway then on sat nite i was in falkirk coz me and a few friends were at the pub and he foned me and i asked the dates when he was back his response "u shouldnt be thinking bout that" me "why?" then he goes on to talk bout school again my fone bat died b4 the convo was finished i was pissed off to say the least he had already had me in tears i had just enough bat on my phone to send a msg "fone bat ded. love you xox" he replied "well u know i love u 2 u better pull ure thumb oot ure arse or u wont c me 4 a while or if u do it wont b 2 c u. u have till i come home on leave" i didnt know what to say what to think even ive told 2 friends one says to talk to him and see what he says the other says to split up wi him im going to give him a chance but in the long run hes in the army for at least 5 yrs should we last that long i only see him every few months for a wk or 2 thats a long time to wait i want to be with him but if he is not here and he is making me this unhappy what sort of relationship should depend on one halfs academic performance? and is there really any point? sorry your friend always sweetie xox _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. hi all, well, thanks to everyone who visited my site. You put my mind at ease, I couldn't get the new page up, even when the old one had gone away, so thanks for confirming it was working. The weekend. Hair wet through a Fat Elvis stage, but now its looking foxy. I had a party. Not everyone came, but there were enough there to make it fun. I had my tarot read. Woo! It told me to study more. Blimey. I went to a club. I danced like the drunken fool I was to B+S. My mates decided to get my flatmate stoned. He was babbling like an incoherent fool quite soon. We had a bet to see how long it would be before he fell over. He had been drinking since 2pm, and had not eaten anything. It didn't suprise me. Got a dress for my birthday from my boyfriend. Saw two, bought the blue one. Think I'll buy the red one as well today. Heh heh. And some boots and a coat. And a belt, and all sorts. I am on such an emotional rollercoaster today. Really really upset. Need to do some studying, but I can't get my head to function. Cried while I walked to uni. Imagining bad things. I hate having hormones. They are crap. Need to talk to my boyfriend. Something is upsetting me. Wondering who to talk to about how I feel. Rang my dad and he sort of did his dad bit. He didn't give me any advice really, just said I should talk about it. And I should do whatever feels best. I think he was a bit suprised, to be honest. I usually call my mum for these chats. And mum is great for these chats, cos she gives me heaps and heaps of advice, and tells me not to worry, and gives me a verbal hug (awww!) and then goes a bit girl powery and things. Dad sort of mm's and ooh's a bit. He tries his best, bless him. Trying to decide on a future career. Should I be: 1. a diplomat( it looks cool) 2. An English teacher in Japan (for a year) 3. Go into advertising 4. A web designer? cannot decide. Quite like the idea of being a diplomat. But will they take me? My mum used to work for the Norwegian Government, so who knows if they'll be happy about it. Careers advice was suprisingly good. Apart from the bit where we're supposed to become modern language teachers or primary school teachers. They always tell us to be teachers in my department. I wouldn't mind teaching in Japan. hello babies Yes, another ridiculously expensive weekend has passed (three squid for a pint of guinness????) in a haze of half heard conversations, "energetic" dancing and bad karaoke. Can one have drunken ears? After about 6 o'clock on saturday i couldn't hear a bloody thing anyone was saying, so the smiling and nodding tactic was adopted, except when v-twin were mentioned when it became a furious shaking of the head. Furious shaking of head was also adopted when the GEDGE played hole, but air guitar was (hopefully) kept to a minimum. Usually i wouldn't, not to Hole anyway, but i was feeling rather exuberant following baxendale, who made perfect sense on saturday, and succeeded in making all the following bands sound rather dull and lifeless. The whole day had made me feel happy, as i realised that i knew about 10 times as many people there as i had when out in Cheltenham the night before, and it's good to see your friends isn't it. Energetic dancing was not confined to the small dancefloor near the bar either. The Actionettes performed on the stage, with their dazzling display of fantasic 60s moves, 12 girls surely all descended from Pan's People, although following much debate in the upstairs gallery, the one second from the right on the last song was declared the most "up for it" Karaoke is a funny thing, I just can't help myself, although i'll leave it to others to dissect my performance. Maybe we should have a sini-karaoke at some point :) ...but i know HE'S A MORON, GORDON IS A MORON xoxo CarsmileSteve PS, I think i've got a spare ticket for Broadcast on wednesday, if any oxo-cubes were thinking of going. this week has just not been fun. at all. lies abound. t.s. eliot (i'm not being actively pretentious, i swear) said April is the cruellest month, but i think October could probably take it in a cage match. first- find out godspeed you black emperor! is playing this nice intimate club (for ten dollars too) near my house- three days before i get home!!! ugh and secondly- existentialism paper due on monday. it's not going well at all. continental nonsense just does not fit well into my purely analytic background. right. besides complaining, i do other stuff. i promise. > > when exactly is the auction getting started? i really would like to know when i will actually have to deliver on this promise that's hanging over my head. a belle and sebastian-made sword of Damocles as it were. i curled up in front of a fire the other day, and it was just perfect. autumn smells all over the place. my eight year old brother has supposedly taken to running around the house with a mask on his face and a knife wielded blithely in his hand. Hello, I feel more like a Jehovah's witness normally when I post, sort of hussling people and stuff, but, er, well hello it's me again :) Everywhere is so rainy and wet and mokey, and my coat has absorbed the rain from the outside atomsphere, and releases it slowly in my room, so now my room stinks of mokey rain too. I am still behind on all the work/bill/boring stuff, but I'm a bit less behind and I have tomorrow morning to catch up. Oooooh ooooooh oooooh I am getting a haircut tomorrow! Well scary! I hate going to hair dressers, it's like going to a fascist faction, and they always ridicule me when *I* try and make a suggestion about how *I* want *my* hair cut, grrr. It's gonna be a radical haircut too.. scary, wish me luck. Sinister: Softies, Mirah, and Microphones in NJ on Oct 22. !!!

hi everyone, wow, i haven't posted in a while! I wanted all you out there to know that I'm putting on a show on Sun. Oct. 22 its the Softies, Mirah, and Microphones. It'll be at the Manaquan Womens Club, 62 Main St., Manasquan, New Jersey. It starts at 7:00 and will be a lot of fun! I hope some of you NJ or NY Sinistereens can make it and hang out. All the above bands are on the legendary K records, Rose from the Softies was in Tigar Trap, and Mirah and the Microphones were just on tour with Modest Mouse. Someone actually talked about them in a previous post. They're all terrific, lovely bands that i'm sure you'd all enjoy. In other news, high school is good. I'm looking at colleges for next year. If there are any Sinisters out there in Art School drop me a line, i'm looking at School of Visual Arts, and Parsons in NYC, and the Suffolk school of Art, and Mass. School of Art in Mass. I'd like to know what you think about what your doing. thanks a lot for reading, hopefully i'll be seeing some of you at the show or hearing from you.
