Just a very quick one so you can get back to your discussions of
Dylan/Lucozade and all other things highly B&S related. Thank you to all
who sent rude poems etc. for my birthday and cards including precious Oon
from Thailand! Sending out mental valentines to you all now (I have a
theory about who sent out the real valentine to the list but I'm not
telling). For those who want to know, I got a new outfit for my Sindy, 40
pounds worth of vouchers for Boots from my Mad Dad (so that's me in
toothpaste for 3 decades), and a trip to Glasgow where I spent an obscene
amount of money on 60s French pop.
Bet no-one posts today cos you're snogging each other and no-one's told
me.
Oh yeah - for those of us who have too many CDs, does anyone reckon we
could make a CD swap thing work here? It's usually impossible on the
Internet as no-one trusts anyone else to exchange via mail, but I reckon
we could do it here, if via a central point for safety or something - a
WWW record of who's swapping what so we know someone isn't skinning us all
when we stick on the stamps. Also, swaps often fail one-to-one but
would work with lots of people - three-way swaps etc, credits or
something.
So - well if anyone has any ideas, mail ME not the list. Must NOT involve
cash - can't have anything even vaguely commercial via this list, full
stop. Must be very very simple to run. But PLEASE don't start posting
swap lists to the list - I will go all grumpy again. Maybe this isn't of
interest, or if it is we could just do one-to-one on a WWW page somewhere.

Indeed, I would like to follow on with the birthday greetings to Paul in a
far less funny manner than Chris just did... Happy Birthday indeed laddy,

midnight tonight (only joking).
It's a bit quiet today on the list isn't it? Maybe it's Friday the
13th - actually, it's probably the Friday the 13th Virus! Arse.

Hello to everyone
Just dropping a few lines to the list...hum! what can i say...been
enjoying B&S for a bit now...i find their music to be really touching
and refreshing from what we are use to hearing nowadays...
How many albums so far for B&S, if i may ask and how about single?
what i do have is, if you're felling sinister cd + 3..6..9 seconds of
light, that i manage to get while i was in NYC...it is sometimes hard
to find uk albums in Montreal but there's a great record shop so we
can always order...

ah hem....
having worked in a health food store for two years of my life during
high school, i feel i am compelled to write in about this tigermilk bar.
true, they do taste rather funny, but there is one with peanut butter
that is magnificent. i think it's peanut butter crunch or something.
and there is actually one flavor of powerbars that isn't half
bad......banana. but it still kinda tastes like banana soaked in
cardboard oil.
and i just recently purchased robert forster's "warm nights". i tell you
something...this list is breaking me and draining all my hard earned
savings. anyway, this album is the first album since "iyfs" that i've
been unable to take out of the cd player. for four days straight now,
i've listened to nothing but it. wonderful album.

This is too crazy,
I just looked in the local afternoon newspaper and guess what?
You'll never believe it but beginning a one week run at the local
arthouse cinema tonight is none other than hot hot hot current Sinister
topic "Don't Look Back" starring you-know-who.
Coinkydink, n'est-ce pas?
The reporter calls it not only "easily one of the best documentaries
ever made" but "one of the most cinematically influential."
So I can finally see what the big deal is about!
in other news...
well nobody believes me that I really saw Paul Weller in a restaurant
the other night... why not? he has to eat too.... Oooh I looked at those
baby photos and everyone is so darn cute I hurt my fingers trynna pinch
yr little cheeks through the monitor, hehe... and I'm about to embark on
converting another friend to B&S, so wish me luck!!!
