thought i'd poke my head in for a second...
i'm 24 (that looks to be around the average)...live in los
angeles...have the somewhat perplexing job of working at the tape
library at mtv. for the curious, there are no belle and sebastian
videos in the library, but there is one pastels video.
also, i don't mean to rat anyone out, but i've seen a copy of tigermilk
at the famed testcard towers in hoboken, new jersey, which is presided
over by one keith d'arcy.

aka My deepest darkest secret...
I have a copy of Tigermilk and, gulp, I've scratched it! Just a little
bit in the middle of State I am In - only my most favourite song ever.
I'm really sorry, I know some of you are probably thinking "How could he
be so stupid" but it was an accident. I was playing it non-stop on my
knackered record player and it happened. I really do feel bad, I mean
I'm so lucky to have a copy at all and look what I do to it. It's like a
religious icon, a knuckle bone of St Frideswide or a geometry set of St
Ignatius - rare stuff that should be treasured.
I am not worthy.
But I did tape it before I knackered it. And as my penance for my crass
hamfistedness I'd gladly make a copy of it.

Hi People
I have just subscribed, so am not sure if this thing will work. I
have enjoyed reading all your mail, even though there was quite alot.
I am a student in my first year at manchester uni, doing a physics
course. I am also new to B and S, although by coincidence my name is
actually Sebastian, which was not much fun when the cartoon was on
TV as i had the piss taken almost constantly.
Does anybody know when and where the manchester dates are in december
because i really feel i must see them live, as they have had such
amazing reviews and such a good reputation.
Time to go as i have rock hard example sheets to do
Bye All

First draftish - the "write it all down" sections may well be wrong.

Summer is such a pain
Yeah, I'm down on the city floor
I guess I am pretty bored
Least I am not alone
Cause here she comes again
Oh I saw her just yesterday
She looked at me in a certain way
Cause she's a pocketbook angel
And I know she fakes the limp
Cause I saw her in Littlewoods
Well she was getting some frozen food
She just wants to be goofy

Things she sees
Yeah, she's got it all on computer disk
Cause she's a marketing analyst
I sometimes wonder what she's got on me
Oh sure, I had a job in an office one
I never talked to anyone
All I ever do is st around
She told me over tea
She's not working for another boss
She got fired but it was their loss
She's a pocket book angel
And now all the kids have got pocketbooks
I guess it's the way it looks
Their cosmopolitan diaries

TimH:
I know someone who's on the Exeter F.C. mailing list, but
unfortunately I'm not on it myself as I don't like Football.
It's to do with the exercise involved; I'd much rather go to sleep.

Hi, I was just introduced to B&S about a week ago and they are my favorite
band. I heard If You're Feeling Sinister and I think it is lovely. Anyway, is
there any possible way that I could get a hold of anything else they have
done. I live in America, so I think their merchandise is pretty rare here.
I'd be willing to pay for postage and anything else... thanks.
