Superbob, maybe you can help. Speech and Language processing Mphil ...
bloody difficult. Does Acoustic engineering have any connections to this?
Anyway, 22yrs, Scottish, from the talented (so it seems) West end of
Glasgow and student in Dublin. And no , no copy of Tigermilk although I
remember seeing it in Fopp loads, thought of buying it and never ( I hadn't
actually heard any of their stuff at this point) so I am now kicking
myself. Oh well......

All this spilling of personal beans about ourselves has given me an
outasight idea to raise money for the great computer appeal. We've all
been mailing in with our personal info, right? This is the kind of
demographic data the evil corporations of the world would pay big money
for. They'd love to get inside our heads to see what's what in order to
sell us more of their godforsaken merchandise.
I say we let them! What with us being fans of the hottest band around we
can command a premium price just for telling people what we think is
cool and the latest words the "kids" are using for shagging! Most of us
are in that key demographic age band 18-24 that advertisers are keen to
target so we can charge even more!!. (I'm not any more and I had a
strange moment of late 20's angst when i realised I was no longer the
kind of thrusting young buck people want to sell beer to. And I don't
even drink!)

Dear all, just to add to the statistical maelstrom - I'm a librarian,
believe it or not, and I'm 29. Wish I still felt like a student, but I'm
afraid those days are gone...
Changing the subject entirely, that NME article was hilarious! The message
seemed to be that BandS didn't want to talk to NME, and, when they finally
did, they didn't say what NME wanted to hear. The music papers must be so
used to bands begging to get into print, that behaviour like this must
leave them all flustered and confused, poor dears.
Bye for now,
Pete

Whoops I knew i'd find one of these in my mailbox this morning. I went
home last night & played the session & singing along i knew instantly it
was LUCID & not HAPPY.
I can only hope you can forgive this minor aberration

Jeez, you people are makin me feel old... I am recently turned 27 but I
honestly feel about 19. I play synthesizer in a NYC Chamber pop act called
the Favorite Color (we coined the term Chamber pop, It means cello based
rock like B&S, High Llamas, the Left Banke, etc.). Of course, I have a job
to pay the rent... I work for a rock promoter/movie producer but of course
it doesn't help my band nearly as much as I would like it to. I do get to
see Stereolab this week and the High Llamas the next for friggedy free.

Did someone ask for the talkie bits from the 'I Could be Dreaming' version
B&S did on a Radio 1 session?
If they did, then I ken most of it, else please ignore the rest of this
message:
- 'today we went to the [?] and we all stuck are hands in and i told us
lots of things about our life and our future...'
- 'back on the B, Richard'
- 'What did you say? What are you saying to me?!? I'm talking what we did
today, I'm telling them- I'n telling them how it is.
We drove about in our big red AMK van.
- 'They called us winsome- but we're just hopeless.
[??????]
[??????]
We could've done it ourselves
We should give up'
- 'Hi Vanessa!'
- We should give up...we should stop... just...round about.. now!'
Anyone know what the missing bits [??] are????

As regards trying to locate a copy of Tigermilk in Manchester, may I
suggest that the best place to try is Vinyl Exchange.
They have an extensive selection of rarities, and even if they don't
have a copy, I'm sure they wouldn't mind ringing around.

Just how many other members of the Leicester City mailing list are there here? It seems to be overrun with them since someone mentioned them recently.
