I have a vinyl copy of Tigermilk, so here's the detials...
1. Owner: John Stuart, Roslin (home of Dolly the clone sheep)
near Edinburgh.
2. Bought it in Fopp, Cockburn St, Edinburgh a day or two after
the first Radcliffe session.
3. Mine is'nt numbered, so I imagine that none are.
4. It's kept in top nick and has been played twice. Once to record
it to tape, and once to record it to Minidisc.

Was'nt it Richard who was on the music course at Stow?

hello gang
I neglected to locate my Tigermilk when I registered. It lives with me
in Hammersmith, West London. I looked anew upon it last night (making
your tape John!) and found that etched in a spidery hand on the vinyl
it said something like "tm (tim?) a masterpiece". Am I showing my
ignorance here? Does it say that on all records - does it say that on
yours?
To identify myself - I'm one of the JJs on this list, I'm 27, I do
intranet pages for a big computer company and I heartily enjoy a good
cup of tea.
hot love

This is probably getting boring right now, but I've got a copy of
TigerMilk...
Having heard 'The State I Am In' played to death on Mark Radcliffe, I
wrote the address for Stow down & then... sort of forgot about it,
although i stuck the scrap of paper in the tape box which contained the
Radcliffe sessions. Months later, stuck in Friday night traffic on the
M1 - oh, happy days - i played the tape to my friend Jonathon Bibby, who
- usual story - fell in love with B&S straight away. i told him about
TigerMilk, & he scribbled the address down as well. Weeks passed & I
started to hear all these stories about it being unavailable. So
finally, in a fit of panic I wrote to Stow, & on the 26th November 1996
(don't ask how i remember the date, it just proves what a sad sack i
am..) it arrived!! & an hour later Jonathon Bibby phoned, excitedly
blabbing on about how his had turned up the same day. So i guess i'm
pretty lucky. I heard a story that Stow had sold out, but then a few had
turned up again so i presume that mine is one of those lost TigerMilk's.
Phew!!.. so the short answer is one lives at my mums in Derbyshire (i
was too scared to leave it in My flat in Wimbledon while i'm working
here in Boston), & Jonathon's is filed away amongst many other top pop
records in a small bedroom in Padiham, Lancashire (near the Manor Barn
public house).
ahhh, back to lurking
S'later
Paul.
(who's favourite B&S moment remains the wibbling at the end of the
sessions version of 'I could be dreaming',
Stuart - 'The call us winsome, but we're just hopeless'..
Can anyone work out the rest, & what is an ARP van,,,,,?!

Hee hee - Kevin told me last night explicitly not to add his name to the list.

Anyone else see 'Hardbody' live a few years back? I saw them at Brighton
and thought they were great - my first experience of a Belle and Sebastian
person - wow... and I never knew it. Didn't hear much from them after
that though.
You learn something new every day... that's what makes every day special

Hardbody haven't been dropped per se - it's just that Sony have dumped all the people in the band who are male. Their LP is still going to be released under that name, it's just that Louise remains the only member signed to Sony. Incidentally they've got two singles still kicking about, "On Your Own" and "Hazel's Hob" - which are both good.

hely gorgeous,
I've had an incredibly bad day so you will hae to excuse me but I've
been out drowning my woeful sorrows and watching heaps of Billy Connolly
in the pub. May Ijust state here my boss is an absolut jem as are the
regulars as I haven't actually paid a penny towards the state I am in!!
Anyhow I thought I would ask if anyone has heard of "Whiteout" and for
your views on them, just for a laugh, because I'm going home at the
weekend and I am so sick of them having their head up their own arses and
I reckon that they need a good kick up the arse, and I'm sure McD would
appreciate any input from the listeners.
By the way the computer next to me has to have the best screensaver,
some 'cyberkitten' can't quite decide whether or not too chase a ball of
yarn -no wait it's sleeping now-, oops,it's going aliitle insane with it's
mad dashing around, oh, it's contemplating the pounce, anyway, I think
I'll sit and watch this kitten on acid for a while, take care.
love and hugs,
Laura :)

P.S. the majority of you have probably seen B&S live, would it be posible
to hear a few stories as I doubt very much I will ever get to see them as
I hae a real problem with crowds. Maybe one day I will get lucky and
overcome it, it would be worth it to see the band just once in the flesh.

Hi.
Just in case anyone wants to know, Snow Patrol played here in Belfast last
Friday. However I missed them as I though they were on on Saturday. Doh!
And they've got a track on the fairly poor quality v/a cd 'belFEST '97' (17
bands! only 99p! which I suppose you can't really complain about, really.)
called 'my last girlfriend'.
So there you go.
