Hiya
I've got one, in my house all the way up in Kirkwall in the Orkney
isles. I got it for eight pounds from John Smiths Bookshop record
bit, by Hillhead tube station in Glasgow (and completely humiliated
myself by asking if the had in on CD, a cardinal sin I know)
I cant remember it having a number but I'd need to look at it to
check....
Its in OK condition but I think I might have lost the wee papery
inner sleeve thing...

When I put mu hand up he sort of looked at me nodded at went 'I dont

er, we've got two.

anyway ours;
the first we bought for �10 from a rep who works for 3MV, he didn't know
what it was but just that it was by Belle and Sebastian and had a
blue-ish cover. the cover's slightly tarnished from sitting in a van for
8 months, but the vinyl is mint. we've lent this copy to one of our
dearest friends for as long as we've got our other copy. So simon's got
this one in East London
the second one we bought from a guy off the paper version of the mailing
list, we paid �60, gave him �40 of CD's and promised him 10% dicount for
the shop we worked in at the time, he didn't have a record player and
said he'd rather someone that loved them could listen to it. We also had
to do him a pro copy on a very good tape to make sure he still had a
copy. The record itself is perfect, as is the sleeve. We've wrapped in
plastic and keep it safe when people come over. The computer and the
record appear to be the two things we can't live without, oh, and maybe
each other. This copy is held 19 floors above West London, as close to
heaven as you can get with concrete.
mark jones's and stef's;
well they do own Jeepster and have every right to own copies of the
album. mark's are in london whilst stef's is in winchester.
er also, some 25-ish were given to very ungrateful journo's at the time!
we do have a full list of who and where, but we're probably not allowed
to say. these are the sort of people that slagged it to hell and back at
the time and now come grovelling for an interview. the only exception
being Jo Whiley who has always been supportive, by the by, she's in west
london.
so that accounts for about 31.
oops! i nearly forgot but Stuart Murdoch has one too! that's in West
Glasgow.
so now that's 32.

I may be suffering from false memory syndrome, but I think that
at the Glasgow QMU gig earlier this year, Stuart M asked for anyone with
a copy of Tigermilk to put their hands up. Loads of hands were lifted (a
good number counting a tape as a copy I fear, or perhaps just lying?)

I must stand shoulder to shoulder with Nicola when the firing squad
takes aim. I love Monica Queen's bit on LLPJ and I must confess to a
youthful affinity to the oeuvre of Deacon Blue. Truth will out!
The thing about Monica's bit on LLPJ is that it's so not Belle &
Sebastian. Which makes it all the more great. Like the crazy keyboards
on the as yet unreleased (how cool am i??) Tigermilk [the track not the
mysterious lost album of the Incas] when they played it at Oxford; it
was like a new texture or new dimension to their sound. Suddenly the
band were rocking, or even rockin' (blimey!). That's what I love about
B&S - so much variety yet with a clear common thread that keeps their
work coherent.

deepest Leeds 6. She bought it for knid of normal LP price (so I guess
?9 or something) in Jumbo records in Leeds.

I do know that she once told me that there was nothing I could
