erm, i think the actual reference might possibly be about the film "don't
look back" filmed by DA pennebaker, a B. Dylan tour film...
sorry for being pedantic, but i thought it was quite obvious...
love,
alan

This one is of a group of us in a little tavern behind New College. We
don't look really *happy*, but that's just because we've only just met, at
a record fair half an hour earlier, and we're all a little confused.
Little Soozy is pointing at someone and looking very impressed but a little
scared. She won't tell us who he is, but she probably fancies him anyway.
The wasp under the glass on the table is not dead; the barman in the
background with the blue hair and tie is the one who will soon enough lift
up the glass and give the insect its freedom again. He nearly got stung
while lifting up the glass, and walked off muttering something.
The kitchen window in the top left is where the nice smells, which make us
a little more relaxed, are coming from. The sign next to the window has
writing too small to be made out here, but the general message was that the
pub has never hosted funeral receptions of major rock 'n' roll legends. I
don't think we were meant to understand - it's probably an in-joke.

<< and is 12.99 overly expensive?? I paid 12.99 for my If You're Feeling
Sinister CD. >>
I do believe they were referring to the 12 cd box of the album which went for
the equivalent of $120. As for the Tigermilk bootlegging problem, all that
Jeepster needs to do is put on a demo or a live song or something and
everyone will go buy it again even if they already had a good CD copy.
That's my 2 cents. By the way, when does the Ink Poloroid contest end?
Today I learned that international money orders cost upwards of $7.50, so
I'm going to try my hand at winning a shirt before I plunk down over 25
dollars on one (that's about L17 or 125FF, for those of you not familiar with
American currency).

Before a cyber-brawl breaks out, please let me explain myself...
I did not, nor would I ever, call Jason Scumbag a Spaceman. I like his
band, I liked his old band, I do a really good impersonation of Sonic
Boom. On the odd occasions that I pass through Rugby on the train I
always look for their old house on Railway Terrace. i don't know why I
picked on their inventive packaging to criticise. It might as well have
been the special gold edition of "The Piano" soundtrack. I only wanted
to make a typically dubious point about demand and supply. I don't
usually abuse people, I think this little misunderstanding was the
result of flying fingers annd brain on the blink.
Can I get off the naughty chair now?
Having said all that, I do favour traditional CD packaging, anything
else just messes up your CD shelf and gets all scuffed and knackered
anyway. The most ludicrous example I own, both musically and otherwise,
is the super gatefold edition of "Space Ritual" by Hawkwind, complete
with rubbish sci-fi stories and pictures of rude dancers.
Should I get back on the naughty chair for admitting that?
Peter

I wouldn't call Spiritualized "scumbags" because they indulge in costly
packaging. I mean, that's their bag, and it's not like you can't get the
album for normal price if you are not a obsessive collector. I think the
packaging ideas Jason comes up with are unique and interesting.

Why is everyone going on about Dub versions of Tigermilk?
Is this some kind of remix, perhaps heralding the band's new direction?
can we expect a remix of 'The State I Am In' by Smiley Culture or something.
Have I missed the point.

Nice to see there are 9 members of list living in France.
To answer your question, it's not very easy to get B&S records : i
purchased the both eps Dog... and Lazy almost three weeks ago and i'm still
waiting.
I heared about B&S in FNAC, a big store with books and records and ...
wellknown in France. They made a selection of new talents and B&S was in.
