you can't really see the tv that well in this one, but it's a re-run of
"the facts of life" so it doesn't matter anyway. that's james over on
the couch. it's only my third day of my first year at college and i saw
him walking round with a house of love shirt on, so i introduced myself.
turned out he was english. that cd he's holding is "ecstasy and wine" by
my bloody valentine. he told me it existed and i didn't know...i was a
recent convertee. we were about to walk out to some record store where
david j was performing an in-store before one of his shows. we had only
found out about it minutes earlier. we were both new to the town and
didn't know where to find out such info. we couldn't get in the show.
sold out. small club. but when we went our separate ways, he sold me his
copy of "ecstasy and wine" cause he said he could get another one. i
listened to it every day for a month.

Hello,
A Century of Fakers was on the singles review on XFM (alternative
radio station in London) last night and got Tim Wheeler's & Steve
Sutherland's (NME editor) votes as their favourite.
But who was that presenter?? He said several times, that he was
really looking forward to B&S's first album which should have some
really good songs on it.
DOH!
Katie
(p.s. hello to the e-poppers!)

nearly finished the "site map for all sites", five sites are now on
there. if you do a site and want to be included please send me the
details (urls, descriptions of each page, and how you want it to appear
on the menu). Try it and see what you think, it's a hell of a lot better
than clicking away like mad on your bookmarks all the time.
Also added more lyrics, just finished Dog On Wheels and Lazy Line
Painter Jane. Working on Sinister and then I'll get the 3..6..9 done.
Currently doing the Frequently asked questions page, a basic version
should appear soon, if you want something answered or think something
should be on it, mail us and let us know, because it'll appear on the
FAQ you'll remain anon so won't have to worry about feeling silly if it
could be perceived as an obvious question.
Anyone see them in Spain last night?
What did they play? How good were they, apparently the US shows were THE
best gigs so far so I'm very interested to find out how Barcelona went.
That's it,
love
David Kitchen :)
PS: Soozy, could you mail me so that I can add links to your site and
the piccies, thanks.

dear sinister friends,
i'd love to know from where i can get this Tigermilk CD (either from UK or
USA doesn't matter) or at least a tape copy of it. i downloaded these two
songs from B&S Web page and they are darn good, just as these songs from
_if you are feeling..._ ...you know how. sinister. as i know it's on
Electric Honey label but i do not have their address.
so, i have a Tigermilk feber now. SOS.
i thank you every human soul who'll send me info on it (i'm not on your list).
cheers from Finland (where i live) and from Russia (where i come from and
to where i possibly come back).

I've just completed the first stage of a site map covering every site.
Currently I've only listed 3 out of 5 sites and I know some of these
links are already out of date or incorrect.
But I'd be grateful if you could put it through it's paces and stuff.
It is frames based and uses javascript, so please make sure your browser
is up to scratch, (update to Netscape 4 if need be as it's by the best
browser out there).
The page is located at
http://www.totalweb.co.uk/bluesoda/sitemapforallsites.htm
It's currently only mentioned on the drop menu on the front page of the
site as I'm not going to put it everywhere 'til it's up to date.
Thanks
David Kitchen
PS: If Andy Dean, Duke of Haringey and Chris Hall could all mail me up
to date lists of their page addresses and descriptions plus what you
want it called on the menu I'd be grateful. Actually just mail me anyway
to let me know what you think of it.
I'll get around to using your own backgrounds if that's all right with
you, so that each menu can merge with the site that people browse!

It's no wonder Enclave went under...
"If You're Feeling Sinister" has only sold 9,000 copies...

Did anyone else notice that the middle break in "Dog On Wheels" sounds
sneakingly famillar to a Love song? I think it may be "A House Is Not A
Motel", but I'm not quite sure. Of course it's still a great song, so
who cares.

Or rather, if you'd prefer not to be taken to court, don't.
Jeepster have absolutely no reservations about taking legal action
against anyone who illegally copies any Belle and Sebastian recordings
and makes them available for sale.
Please be aware of this, it is not meant to threaten, but such laws were
created for a reason - to protect the bands interests.
We are already looking into a person selling bootlegged "Tigermilk"
CD-R's from Europe, yes, we are serious.
"Tigermilk" WILL be re-released at some stage. Even though it will not
have the same artwork, the songs will be the same, and it will be made
available on other formats as well as LP. This may not happen for some
time, however, they play Barcelona this weekend, there is a new EP
released next month, the possibility of another EP being released before
the end of the year, a new LP next January/February, a live date in
Paris in November, live dates in Manchester in December, Germany and the
West Coast and maybe even the East Coast of the US next spring, and then
even more new recordings after that.
Why dwell on the past while this band are one of the most prolific acts
of our time?
Wait until "Tigermilk" is re-released, and spend your time (and
hard-earned money) in the meantime on their new recordings and live
extravaganzas.
The risk really isn't worth it.
Katrina.

hey. i think there's been sort of a misunderstanding. when i said i was
gonna make me and whoever sent it to me a cd of tigermilk, i didn't mean
i was available for more than those two copies. i don't want to get into
the whole bootlegging thing because a)it's illegal and b)it wouldn't be
very nice to b & s. i see nothing wrong with making a couple. it's like
making a dub, except on a flat disc instead of tape.
and i did it on a first come basis, and the guy that responded first is
who i'm doing it with. so everyone can stop responding now. i've already
set it up.
on another note...if you really want a copy on cd, i know of at least
two guys in my town who put things on cd for a price. one owns a record
store and charges thirteen bucks. the other owns a studio and charges
thirty bucks. i'm not saying for everyone to write me and ask me to take
copies to these guys, i'm saying check around your own town. believe me,
my town is not big (south georgia), so if there are two in my town,
there's gotta be some everywhere.
just check around.
