I'd kind of overlooked her in the past, but I can assure you it won't happen again. Cynthia is obviosuly a wonderful, warm-hearted human being with a keen appreciation of the true essence of Belle and Sebastian. Cynthia, I salute you. How long is long endurance? Lazy Line Painter Jane? The Rollercoaster Ride? I can just about manage Simple Things at a push if I've been taking my vitamin tablets properly. Sinister: Philly Veg Chinese Restaurants...let the debate rage!

OK, OK, I *used* to be a Cherry Streeter...but now I'm way more into Singapore and Vietnam Restaurant. Harmony was pretty good too (the best way to judge a veggie Chinese place I've decided is see how good their General Tao's Chicken is) but the service wasn't quite as friendly as I'd like. Plus at Singapore you get these funky things at the end of your meal--I guess you could call them banana dumplings. And that's in addition to your orange slices and fortune cookies (in bed). And their staff is wonderful. Vietnam Restaurant (all these restaurants are right off of 11th Street btw) is great for its very speedy service, giving you your own pitcher of icewater (what a concept! why wait to be quenched?), very affordable prices ($4-$6 an entree), and delicious rice pudding combos and coffee served with evaporated milk. I brought the Lucksmiths here, and they gave it the big thumbs-up. But my word should be enough, shouldn't it?:) As for Doc Johnson's...jeez Kristin, are you a bigger perv than me? My Fellow Sinsisters, If anyone had told me that not only would I get the chance to see Belle and Sebastian perform (wonderfully if shortly by the accounts so far) but also to hit on QB J's sis and various other Jess's...well, to make a long story dshort I'd have quit my lousy job and spent my pennies on a bus ticket from here to there. Obviously. So in future, if pawning off your sis or self please inform sooner such that we desperate saddoes out in Tx. can make it. And this leads me to the next point (and really the only actual) Anyone from Dallas interested in meet-ups or picnics (the weather is finally just perfect for such endeavors) or starting petitions for upcoming tour dates or some such?
