Just two questions: is it true that Robert Forster and Grant Mclennan are recording an album together ? will it be released under the name of Go-Betweens ? The other one is about Cat Power. What is she doing now ? definitely , "Moon pix" is one of my favourite CDŽs on the last 5 years. No B&S content, sorry. I also want the thank the people who answered me the SYMM question. yes. another annoying useless post from yours truly. but i'm avoiding going to sleep because unlike the lucky rest of you i can't seem to remember dreaming. at all. and that is my favourite part of sleep. my space bar is getting worse everyday(it doesn't work unless you hit it very hard.my thumbs get sore.) but i can't get a new one just yet. i have to save for my trip to dallas to see the cure this months and then to NYC in march to see ani difranco and some old very dear chumbly wumblies adam says: yes, i'm offering a kissing service! any girls who wish to be kissed, simply inform me. i will process your order, and if you are eligible, you shall receive a kiss! yes, men may apply to, we do not discriminate. the fee is very small: a kiss in return is all i require for payment. <sets up his wooden stand out by the sidewalk. sign: "kissing service. almost free!" he waits patiently for customers.> sign me up. oh if they were only real kisses from a real live boy. sigh. i'm terribly lonely and all my friends have boyfriends and or girlfriends actually all of my friends are dating each other. Robert and Grant are indeed recording an album over the next few weeks in Portland Oregon. Janet Weiss of Sleater-Kinney/Quasi/Elliot Smith's band is drumming for them on the new recordings, and I believe they are likely to use the name "the Go-Betweens" on the release. > The other one is about Cat Power. Sinister: Bad Dream no. 1

Hey guys, I'm in agony. I must have slept strangely last night and this morning I woke up with a sore shoulder and neck and my shoulder is clicking and I have a headache and it hurts to swallow. Hmmmmm ... however, I had some panadeine and a beer and it hurts a bit less now. This morning I was in agony - and it had to be on the day I had a job interview, didn't it? But I have an appt with a physio in 1 hour 45 mins and 21 seconds so I'm hanging on. The worst thing is I'm at work and have heaps of stuff to do, yet I can barely move my arm. Hmmm again - yes I'm winging (is that how you spell it? It looks silly...) Agony agony agony.. BAD DREAM The real reason I'm telling you guys this, however, is because I have just remembered the dream I had. Last night I dreamt (somebody loved me - no, only kidding but it would be nice...) that someone was trying to kill me. I can't remember who, though I think I know them, and I can't remember what they look like even slightly. But here's the weird part - I got shot in the dream: in the back and the stomach. No, I don't have a stomach ache, but I certainly got shot in the shoulder/back, and I'm not sure but I think I died, or at least went to hospital. The worst thing about it was I remember trying to hide and not succeeding - I would always hide too late and they would find me (I often have dreams that I'm being chased and bad things happen) Does anyone know what this could mean? And don't you think its strange that I woke up with a sore shoulder after dreaming I got shot in the shoulder? Hmmmm Bizarre dream nos 1&2 Hmmmm Yes - also if there is anyone who does analyse dreams, or would know more than me anyway, what does dreaming about going away on a plane mean, with someone from work who I am not interested in, and has a girlfriend? Hmmmm - that seems to be my favourite word at the moment. Sorry. Grieg Obviously in such cases as my scary dreams I WISH I could forget them. But I remember most dreams. All I know on the subject is that we have 5 dreams a night, and most people can't remember them. But what if we could remember them vividly? Sometimes I do, and if it's a really good dream I pine over it for days. Like in "Until the end of the World" (starring Sam Neill and featuring a soundtrack by U2 - it's not great but its an interesting concept) And I've had such other bad dreams like dreaming my ex was dead and I even went to his funeral, and it was so real I woke up in the morning crying and I had to call him to make sure he was alright. sins, the lot of you, iris keeps talking about her (future) new house and i keep picturing it and am happy. i used to grab the "new homes" section of the paper first when i was young (i'm old now, turned 25 yesterday and am on the beginnings of a bender it seems, though i managed to make it to work, still alcohol-fueled. yar.) floor plans always did fascinate me. so easy to knock down walls on a picture. and that ensuite bathroom, oh yeah... Maybe this is a product of growing up in duplexes and townhouses... living on newsprint. the saturday paper was always the best for this. fuck the comics page, i want some *real* fantasy in my life, ooh, check out the 3 bdrm w/ family room on F-4... and things change. it's all brick-front suburban crap now. boring boring boring. sorely lacking in robots and robot-related kitchen appliances. entering the first computer thingy: we had an ADAM coleco-vision "computer" with tape drives. i hated it. i cursed it. i was the only one in the house who could use it. glorified word processor. and this was in '88. someone gave it to us when they upgraded to a 386 or something. i mastered Zaxxon in an effort to work out my frustrations. hey robyn, nerd-girl! yeah. ha ha, you answered! a friend who is now working at my workplace is amazed at my tech skills. she thinks i'm some kind of info-tech wizard. it's not true, it's only b/c she knew me when i used to cry in the computer lab. that should be a song. and yes, yes, yes, my god, yes: when genevieve wrote: > it's not like Struan's pushed me into the wall and has got both my arms pinned above my head,with only one of his hands,whispering menacingly "You..will..buy..it" and I'm going "Bite me,jeepster skank!" hello everyone, i am sure that you all have missed me. i have not posted in forever, but now i am back. i wasnt going to post but then i had a random b&s experience so i figured i would share it. well here it is- i recently dropped out of college and got a full time job at starbucks (for all of you european kids who dont know waht that is, it is a really nice posh, but chain coffee shoppe). so today was my first day there, and as i was working i ask about the music they play and i am told that starbucks has mixed cds specially made for the store and that is all we are allowed to play. the cds even have expiration dates and they send us new ones every month or so. so anyways, i am doing my work making my lattes and mochas when what do i hear??? belle and sebastian!!!! the huge chain store starbucks sends us mixed cds with belle and sebastian to play! can you beleive it!! i thought that was so rad. they were 2 songs even! the first one i heard was tbwtas! could you beleive that one? i mean i cant beleive they make mixed cds that rad and for them to play tbwtas! well that song is dirty in a way, so it shocked me that that was their choice.. i also got a new tattoo! i got a baby star that is red and faded into pink and is outlined in black on the inside of my wrist! it is way cute. ok darling i must go. xoxo, lauren cara +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the undead Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail "sinister(a)missprint.org".
