which misguided fool voted for me on list crush, and therefore made my (sad) day? thank you. you cheered me up due to...... well, i managed to crash my car last night, but as i did it while listening to the Dog on Wheels EP for the umpteenth time, i can blame it on wee stuarts beguiling voice. The emotion was too much dontcha know? It meant i missed the Blair Witch project, but i suppose i was lucky to escape alive. Crashes at 5mph can be very dangerous you know... Went to see Looper at their in store last week. Alas only caught the first 30 secs of one song thanks to Mr octupus irritating man. I know this is late, but i only just realised how mad that pompus american talking about drugs made me. Although not quite as mad as his pouting girlfriend made me. Well, i shall go before i bore you, pausing merely to say 'Don't listen to Tim Gardner...oh, OK then, do. Golly - I haven't posted for a whole eleven days but, being the blush-some sort, I felt the need to be a bit coy and lay low for a while. Anyway... Yum - I've just polished off an enormo-box of Marks & Spencer's sushi which I washed down with a bottle of their top class freshly squeezed orange and raspberry juice. My tummy feels a bit bloated, but I am feeling nicely satisfied, all in all. The sushi came with a teeny bottle of soy sauce in the shape of a fishy and I've now decided to start a collection of mini soy bottles. I really need some new stuff to put around my computer. At the moment I have a little plastic guitar, a plastic butterfly, a barbie sticker, 15 Phantom Menace games from packets of Walkers Crisps and 4 Qubix, also courtesy of Walkers. The fishy is a nice addition, but he looks a bit lost and needs a friend. Reading back over that list, though, I do wonder what impression of me you get from knowing what stuff I have around me all day. SUCCESS! I was talking to my sister (DKNY trainer girl) at the weekend and she casually slipped into the conversation the following: "I was playing your Belle & Sebastian tape to my friend the other day..." Naturally I was a tad surprised that she had taken the bait so easily (the bait being the tape which I had casually left in the stereo in her car the previous week), so I asked if she played it much. "Yes," she replied, "now and again I do". I smiled a little smile to myself and left the tape in the car again this week. I was just wondering if the Narrow Wizard still leaves a faint smell of cinammon the day after he's had a curry and a few lagers. Or does he smell a bit farty? And finally, ladies and gents, there has been much talk of late regarding the practice of spectacle wearing and its influence on members of the opposite sex. Being a four-eyed monster myself, I would have to agree with the motion that glasses are an incredibly attractive thing. However, when two pairs are found in close proximity, the sound of clashing plastic is frequently to be heard and it is not particularly conducive to the romantic mood. Good afternoon sinister, Off work today due to a case of suspected trenchfoot brought on by carrying CD mixers about in the torrential rain whilst sporting a pair of Neil from the young ones shoes (letting in water etc). Any rich tea or sympathy you may feel inclined to gently lob my way would be greatly appreciated. Blimey what a surreal weekend! I spent most of Saturday night playing very slow, very quiet B&S songs very, very LOUDLY in the middle of a hideous trance club in a desperate attempt to piss off as many crusties as possible. Do I qualifiy for some sort of award for this? Your average hippie punter tends to look very confused when you mix from the theme to 'Minder' into 'Your made me forget my dreams' at four in the morning (heh-heh). I also got in to a big barney rumble with the members of a fairy puppet mime troupe. In costume. I've discovered that it's quite difficult to keep up a constant barrage of swear words when the man you're swearing at is dressed as a tree. so tag, do I qualify as a "whinging adolescent"? I got fever...... I got that caaaard fever. For some strange reason I decided to send e-cards to many many many people on friday. men tossing toilets indeed... colin thorton mentioned about b&s in the car. When I was on holiday this year, I put my b&s compilation tape on the stereo, and my brother when absolubtley rat arsed metal at me, making childish comments about all the songs. eg - judy+the horses "bloody horses my arse... what , is that judy a zoophile" he thought for a while that stuM was a girl, because he's got a high pitched voice. I told him that Stu actually had a vice attached to his balls at birth, and this is what caused the voice. he tried to put on some dance music, but I pointed out that dance music is only there to dance to , and you can't really dance in a car, can you? Some people asked for the competition entries to the "b&s related slag" to be aired. I second that - I want everyone to know how dirty minded and purile certain people on the list (namely me) can be. my entry was scary? All I did was quote "you're sitting with your mouth wide open", inserted something in the middle, then ended with "everybody was glad that he came" how about a glasgow haloween meetup.... we could see some horror movies..... or not. Sinister: The Robin Hood of Sinister

Hello there ladies and gents. Well it's been a while, but I shan't apologise. I've had a week off work and snooker's been on. I watched just about every bastard game but missed the final last night, which sounds like it was a stormer. Sad to see Ronnie knocked out, and my second favourite Anthony Hamilton went didn't make the semis either. Anthony is from Nottingham, and is thus referred to by Dougie Donnelly as 'The Robin Hood of Snooker'. Nice. The boy retained his world ranking at number 10 so good luck to him. I was assured that the final would be on at the pub, so I went along, only to find rugby on telly. I was very proud to watch the England boys defend our country's honour. I would have enjoyed it much more, however, if rugby were not an incomprehensible game played solely by fat puffs.* We supported Mogwai in Manchester despite having been drinking heavily all day. Bit of a drunken argument onstage but I don't think that anybody noticed. I had never met them before but a lovely bunch of guys and big drinkers to boot. Hats off. I am still deaf in one ear after their show mind you. It was good to be back in Nottingham as well for a few days. Helped my mate Joe move into a big new house, and took me Dad's dog for a walk around the Uni campus. I kept an eye out for Arantxa and Robin but to no avail. Sinister: The spinning dead dogs of dundee

I drove through dundee on friday and in the middle of the road saw a spinning dog. It was shocking, yet at the same time i laughed, but it was then hit by an articulated lorry, so I think it's dead now. It had its legs stuck out and it was just spinning round like a catherine wheel. No point to this message just felt like telling one thousand odd folk. Sinister: Hiccups

Hi Thanks to all those who mailed hiccup remedies. I have finally managed to get them under control. After 4 days, only a few hours sleep,the occasional period of non-hiccuping, a visit to casualty, my GP (who prescribed an angina spray!) and a call to the NHS Health Line, I was finally given a cure!!!!! Whats the more, the drug prescribed is also given (in higher dosage) to paranoid schizophrenic and people suffering other mental disorders!! Call it vanity but there is something self satisfying from having suffered from what is normally a minor ailment to the degree of having to take said sedative!! dear sinisterees as we come to the conclusion of yet another week together, just thought i'd post up my weekend. friday night was a splendid evening, of.. getting stood up. saturday evening, i attended a rave here in california, and i must say, i had a pretty good time.. despite all the hip hop, and break beats.. the jungle was really good, and in all that crowd of people to my suprise a girl in the crowd was wearing a belle and sebastian badge on her backpack. my new best friend for the evening. she was quite interesting in her field of knowledge of the band, im glad that someone could challenge me in knowledge of my favorite band! so we danced, we rolled, and that's it. who knows what today brings.. by the way i hear that some of the members in belle and sebastian spin, any overseas sinisterees could direct me to what kind of music it is they play? cheers carlos xoxoxo +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the reborn Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail "sinister(a)majordomo.net". Sinister: LOVE: How does one find what they know s'lil about

i just woke up from a dream. in it i was running about my university campus, and around the streets with shops up above, with this girl i really like. in fact, i think she is extremely beautiful....just drop-dead, wilts-my every-last-flower-i-could-ever-have-to-offer-you kinda beautiful. in the dream i found that this girl and i were just dizzy with something, i know not what. but it was perfect and we were holding hands, running and smiling. i dont think we exchanged any words but it was if she was saying she loved me, over and over. with her each look and laugh, in this dream, i felt it. i knew it. now i am awake. and she has this boyfriend. i think i often try to forget that. whats worse she'll remind me of the fact that i was present when they first kissed. indeed under a lonesome pinetree playing a guitar i didnt reaally know how to play b/w these two dorms when i asked two snuggling bastards for a light. ungh! and whenever i pay her a compliment she always thinking im "making fun of her." how lame is that. i cant seem to make myself clear to this girl. i ask you: do i tell this girl how i feel?
