have you ever noticed how just when you think everything is going really well something happens to knock all that down? or how when someone you love is upset, it upsets you more because you don't totally know how to make them happier? stuff like this has been bothering me recently. i recently re-discovered FISHYCLAP and i adore "waiting for the moon to rise" more and more each time i listen to it. it's on repeat play constantly. it reminds me of when it's been raining all day and the sun peeps out from behind a hill and streams through the rain in the air then it stops raining? and although the light it weaker than normal and watery, it fills every dark piece of the land and dries up all the rain. like when someone smiles just after they've been crying. that sort of beauty. i love it. by the way, it was sung and written by dear little Sarah, as far as i know.... i'm reading harry potter and the goblet of fire. my brother made me promise to read it. at first, i had mixed opinions, i thought it was just a daft wee kids book, but now i love it, it's so funny and makes me wish i was magic too. being a muggle is crap. i should hopefully be going to see monica queen at the 13th note soon, if i find out what date it is for definite and find some ppl to tag along with. :) it's one week until i move to glasgow. scared does not cover how i'm feeling at the moment. more like cold sheer terror. if you see a tall brown haired girl with a long beige cord coat (complete with sinister style badges) and a rucksack with a b&S patch on it, feel free to say hi. i don't bite. much. ;) i sent away for fake i.d today. as i'll only be 17 in october, i didn't want to be refused entry to places every time i go out, so now i feel all devious and cheeky. ~raises one eyebrow mischievously~ it better arrive soon though. my mam doesn't know i've sent for it and if she finds it she might not be pleased. she'll probably laugh actually, but better to be on the safe side, non? merci et bon nuit, madamemoiselle amy x x x soundtrack to this post: my friend laura on tape, playing "the heart asks pleasure first" (theme to "the piano" film) note perfect on the piano. beautiful. ps... can someone tell me where there are some kool indie clubs in glasgow that play b&s? pps... smut. one of my "friends" from my old school called me "bunnyf*cker" today. why, i do not know, but it made me giggle. princess honey, was that smutty enough for you? +----------------------------------------------------------------------+ +---+ Brought to you by the undead Sinister mailing list +---+ To send to the list mail sinister(a)missprint.org. Sinister: attention glasgow listees!

greetings dear folks! i decided to come out of the shadows of lurkerdom cos i'm coming to glasgow on the 25th of september, and i'll be there for ten day. i'll probably pop to edinburgh sometime too. and to the countryside. it's me summer holiday, you see. in late september!. it also my first time in scotland. so, if anyone would like show me around, or simply give suggestions where to go (record stores, book stores, clubs, pubs whatever), or invite me for a pint, please do. i dont trust the travel guides anymore. ;) and if i've understood correctly, there is also a radiohead gig (two gigs?) in glasgow. and that the amazing, brilliant, etc. sigur-ros are the support act. me asks the big question: are there still tickets available?! oh, i had me first b&s dream a while ago! maybe i'll tell you about it later. it's a long story... and, i finally heard loneliness of a middle-distance runner (along w/ paper boat and lord anthony). today i'd say it the finest, most beautiful and stunning b&s song. ever. Yeah well... I was thinking about how they took that song "Rhoda", one of my new faves off the "Lazy Line Painter Jane Ep" and replaced it with something else... Eeeeeks! Was it.... "A Century of Elvis" I think I've listened to this thing like a couple times... it's nothing special... Ahhh my sweet "Rhoda" would be a lot better in that place... Hmmmm or "You made me forget my dreams" It's a ok song I guess... I don't listen to it much... I just realized recently it had this really odd ending... Soon enough maybe... We'll have another EP at least... "Legal Man" wasn't very satisfying...anyone else agree? I isn't it like the highest ep on the charts they have had so far? But geesh... "Legal Man" is cute... Sinister: sad but beautiful

Hello. Today was a sad day. Walking to class I was sure I was dreaming. Late and I hadn't done my work- abundant anxiety. My steps were hurried but for some reason my pace seemed slow. Couldn't move fast regardless of how hard I tried. No way I was going to make it on time. So, the day was set to be shit. But- Then. I ran into an old crush of mine. We met a few months back in a park. She had an interest in B&S, so did I. First B&S fan I ever met. We totally clicked. I fell. Completely infatuated, lovesick before I knew her name. We spent the whole day together, watching the birds, chewing gum, smoking too many cigarettes...it was lovely. At least, until the Bad Thing happened. I don't really need to go into the Bad Thing. The relevant information: 1) It tore us apart 2) I never thought I'd see her again because of it. Well, I did. She goes to my school, which I didn't know. I found her roaming the hallways alone, looking at the ground, seemingly lost in thought or despair (much like myself). I grabbed her shoulder and smiled. She smiled back. We skipped our classes and went to her house. No one was home. We sat on her bed chatting for a while. About life, about art, about everything. Of course, we both knew where it was all leading. Getting! it! awn! She took my hand and leaned over to kiss me. I stopped her. "What's wrong?" she asked. "The mood..we need music." I replied. "CD's...on the bookshelf. Please hurry.." "No. I've got my own." I took out a CD I had hidden in my backpack and showed it to her. She smiled. It was CD-R I made, entitled: "Romantic B&S Songs for Sweet-Hearts" She had no idea what was coming. See, the case said "Romantic B&S Songs for Sweet Hearts," but the actual CD-R was my ULTIMATE DISCO PARTY MIX. I set the volume on "ULTRA-HIGH!" when she wasn't looking and popped the CD in. I sat back down next to her on the bed, remote in my hand. She leaned over to kiss me. I hit play. THE DISCO BEATS STARTED BUMPING! "AGHAGHAHGHHHHH!" I shouted. Her jaw was nearly touching her chest. I'm sure I would have seen tears gently rolling down her cheeks onto her tongue had I been paying any attention. I wasn't though. I WAS GETTING DOWN WITH MY BAD SELF! "YEAH MAD DISCO PARTY IN THIS BIZNITCH!" I screamed. The neighbors were flocking to the windows. "Chr-chr-christiaan?" the girl stuttered. "TALK TO THE HAND IT'S DISCO TIME!" She cried and I DANCED. Eventually she got enough nerve to kick me out. I'm not rude, I left without a fight. When I got to the sidewalk I stripped to my undies and started singing S Club 7's bring it all back. YEAH! So it wasn't a bad day after all because I got to dance to my ULTIMATE DISCO PARTY MIX!! And sing S Club 7 outside in my undies!! I am happy now! Hello, all. I'm not much of a poster, and due to my vacation, I've not been much of a reader, either. I did catch some of the bits about Nader, et. al. I hope that I'm not trying to revive a dead horse/whore, but, here goes: I'd like to encourage all American Sinisterines to visit the Libertarian Party's webpage at http://www.lp.org (This is completely biased. I recently joined the party.) Check it out, and, if it suits you, contact your State's party chair. If it doesn't suit you, feel free to flame me, and my children, and my children's children. Felt inspired by this shelf stacker post, particularly since i like to whistle in supermarkets. oh and because i need something to do at 10 to 3 in the morning. I was chatting to this strange boy about necrophillia in the Jeepster chat room but my computer obviously isn't open minded so decided to go mad and switch off, ah my long lost necrophilliac friend! You where there but now you're gone. Anyway, supermarkets. They're my life. So many interesting people and products. I always go late at night to my local Sainsburys, either because I sleep all day or because the light looks so inviting late at night. Firstly there's the homeless guy outside. He always asks for a snickers and a crunch corner. Last time I bought these for him he didn't like the flavour I got and so I haven't bought him one since. All the Crunch Corners are lovely, what kind of insanity does this man suffer? Now once I get inside there has to be a ritual. Next, examine the magazines. Usually its best to look at the current Face, just to wonder if its worth buying for the badges. But no, £2.70 for a fashion special sucks, even if you do get an 'I hate Travis' badge. Can't look at Top of the Pops magazine incase Steps get me over excited. This is kind of dull. Not sure that describing what I do in the supermarket really speaks of my supermarket obsession. I just like wondering round and humming to myself. Trying to work out peoples lives from their shopping is a good game. Or the faces. Everyone is equal through food shopping, even god probably has to buy his chick peas from somewhere. So anyway, none of that came out in the poetic manner i meant it too so I'll give up. Sinister: webby wonders and poetic writings

Hello again! Well, I thought I'd best pull my weight and actually post something again, so here goes. Apologies for all the crappy bits but I've been designing a web-page for my friend, who wants it to advertise his DJing skills, even though he only plays charty-dancy stuff... and I'm tired. So, I managed to sleep in to two today having been in the pub all night, and thus missed my Jobseekers sign in time today; does anybody know what to do or will the government just send out some 'heavies' to 'sort me out'? Also spent loads of time writing silly poems, so my pitch for the new list competition is that we all write a silly poem each, and the silliest gets a prize. Well, it's worth a go... I was a little disturbed by the Isobel debate; I think her contributions are all really good, and they fit in quite well with the sound of the albums that she sings on. And the Gentle Waves CD was quite good too. And she's very pretty... (coff) Anyhow... Greg thought no-one read the entirety of messages to the list. Well, I did, and I too now look with a different light on the policing forces of the united kingdom!! Mush ado is a good play; I prefer A Midsummer Nights Dream though. Does anyone else have a favourite Shakespeare they did at school or am I going to win the 'very sad' award?! Chris's obsession with not wearing clothes is rapidly becoming like a very dodgy web-page, but much more entertaining! But who IS will Porter, and if I were you Chris, I'd watch what you eat when you're naked... those burns can look REALLY bad. Lucy Alder's description of the picnic in oxford is still hauntingly beautiful!! I know where she mean because I was there a few weeks back, and I wished I lived in Oxford. Amy Jackson's last post was also v. poetic. And, er.. all my sympathy to Carey Lander. Tesco's can be a bitch, I know, as I used to work in the bakery of our local one when I was a young A-Level student. But that was a very cool little post!! Joan, if you send me a mail in a week I should have both those songs, but my scurrilous friend has my tape with all the B&S rarities on it, the scoundrel... Only just got Rhoda, but it's really good. Also, just read Fiona's post; Glad to see someone else here doesn't like Manchester United. One of my friends insists they're all deities...
